Malky & Moody scouted the player - who signed off the contract & transfer fee?

Every manager makes poor signings - but its been made pretty clear that Malky didnt hold the purse strings

Who signed off the transfer fee  you serious? Tan knows nothing about footy and scouting players, so he would of needed to take MM & Moody's word that he was gd. Like Tan said, he sent malky to by a Porsche, he come back with a Toyota :thumbright:

F@@k all wrong with a toyota, had mine for over a year now, very reliable, goes like stink and cheap to run  :laughing6:

The Douce wrote:I literally cannot believe the Cornelius situation. Surely we should keep him on the books rather than sell for such a loss. I know he hasn't really impressed, but he is young, just a kid really and should be nurtured into the player we hope he can be.

Can't we loan him back instead ? :(

Personally I think he has had enough, psychologically he probably believes he is not good enough at this level and feels out of his depth. He has been burdened by this large price tag and its dragging him down, its the right thing for the lad to let him go home to the level of football he knows.

Unfortunately Cardiff's Toyota cost £45grand a week to run with a down payment of £7million and didn't run for shit

Still think he is a Toyota for the future though - hope we keep him

Hopefully the results will happen but firstly credit to Ole, getting rid of what he doesn't want and making the squad he wants that suits his style it seems.

No sentiment, ruthless. :ayatollah:

The whole episode of the Cornelius Debacle is just unbelievable to be honest.

I still believe the lad will come good ONE DAY and I would always back him. Its not his fault, I remember Cornelius interview when we signed him up first and, fair play, he said himself on a few occasions about his price (if they think i',m worth it) - leading me to the conclusion that he has never over rated himself.

But, who ever made the deal for him at CCFC need to be investigated for corruption or fraud.

As a club we got stitched up big time over this.

7 million ? £45,000 per week - that is the killer. How on earth can we afford that and as another poster pointed out, what about the dressing room atmosphere - a kid who ain't playing first team pocketing £45 K a week and other regulars doing the job every week - there must be animosity in the ranks - It's human nature FFS.

Conclusion - Better for all involved at CCFC to move Cornelius on and take the loss on the chin !!!

Blooobirds Forever!!! :? :? :?

[quoteWe could sign Finnbogason for not much more than that or Rhodes. Both are better than Cornelius][/quote]

Gustede and mason are far better than Cornelius so we need to cut our losses now as the longer we keep him we will get nothing as sad as it is for the kid .

The sacking of Moody and Malky is making a lot of sense now

Would you prefer to sell him or loan him out?
