Should rip his contract up and bring criminal charges against him for impersonating a footballer and swindling all them thousands a week out of our club. Absolute liberty.

According to
http://sillyseason.vg.no/2014/01/29/solskjaer-selger-flopp-til-solbakken/, he's going back for approx £5 mill. (norwegian kroner 50 mill.)

Probably one of our worst ever signings considering the amount of money we paid for him. It's not his fault though, he's only 20 and he still has a lot to learn. Malky was a great manager for us but he took a massive gamble on Cornelius which was a huge mistake.

Would rather we loan him out honestly. But I think that says it all if Ole is willing to let him go

thats a loss of 5mill...plus if he is on 45k a week the 70% pay off is another 7mil..plus wat we have already paid him 1.5mil a huge signing on fee and agents fees its a whopping 16million pound loss..thanks malky

LATE WITH THE NEWS
Cardiff City set to sell striker Andreas Cornelius back to FC Copenhagen
29 Jan 2014
The struggling Bluebirds striker is heading back to the club Malky Mackay signed him from for a club record £8.5m last summer
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not keeping Andreas Cornelius at Cardiff City
Cardiff City are ready to cut their losses on £8.5m flop Andreas Cornelius - by selling him back to FC Copenhagen.
And the Bluebirds are willing to take a £5m hit on the striker after opening negotiations with his former club about a shock January deal. The Danish Superliga club revealed the move on their official Twitter account.
Translation: The club is close to closing a deal with Andreas Cornelius. More to follow in the coming days ..
Bluebirds boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made his feelings clear on 20-year-old Cornelius after bringing in Kenwyne Jones from Stoke and remaining keen on signing a second new striker in the final 48 hours of the transfer window.
But he has been told he has to try and raise some cash after shelling out for Manchester United defender Fabio da Silva and his trio of Norwegians – as well as a loan fee for the proposed Wilfried Zaha deal, all following a £30m spend in the summer.
And with Cornelius surplus to requirements, Cardiff are ready to accept they got it wrong with the powerful young frontman and are prepared to take a massive loss on a player who was a record signing at the time of his arrival.
Championship side Middlesbrough were reported to have declared an interest while CSKA Moscow – who rivalled Cardiff for his signature in June – are thought to be in the running for the rookie Dane’s services upon his exit.
But sources both in South Wales and Scandinavia have said a deal is on with Copenhagen, although is not near completion yet.
It is thought Cornelius would move back to the Danish capital for around £3m, some £5m less than the fee agreed by former Cardiff chief Malky Mackay to lure him to Cardiff City Stadium.
But shifting Cornelius’ reportedly substantial wages off the salary bill would aid Solskjaer’s bid to add further new faces to his squad before close of transfer business on Friday and the club’s push for Premier League survival.
There have been claims negotiations have been complicated by having to agree a pay-off for the Denmark international, but Cardiff will be hopeful of coming to an arrangement in time for potential deadline day action.
Cardiff could also move Joe Mason out with the door open for a loan return to Bolton, but the Championship side have been told Kevin McNaughton is not available for a return to the Reebok after the Scottish full-back re-established himself in first-team plans in South Wales.

yep...its not just let him go...its actually paying him to leave... his 5year contract is worth 13.5 mil, of course he has run that down by 7 months , which makes it around 12mil..if as reported we are giving him 70% of that f**k me
Wed Jan 29, 2014 4:05 pm
When it says 'paying of 70% of his wages' who gets that money exacty? fc copenhagen or acorn? Confused. Such a big loss but potentially could of been bigger. I'd be lying if i said i wasn't relieved - he looked utterly hopeless.
Wed Jan 29, 2014 4:14 pm
Hopefully he will get rid of all the guys thats he's not going to use ,no point paying them for nothing ,think etien should be loaned all sold on he's never figured with malky ,another dodgy deal and unless OGS is gonna look at him we may as well get rid of him as well.

Where did this £45k originally come from?I don't think iv seen a link to this figure.
He obviously not worth it lol
Hope he comes good in the future tho, seems a nice kid

thomasblue wrote:That cornelius deal makes no sense . Why would they do that ? Rubbish if you ask me
It would make more sense to loan him out having someone pay 40/50% of his wage and see if he develops then seen him otherwise we are just taking a huge 13/14 mill loss
He has also said in two interviews that once zaha is in his deals are concluded
seriously?..............who would pay 25k a week to have him on loan...............cut your loses is what we have to do........expensive mistake,

Cornelius gets the wages pay off, that's nothing to do with Copenhagen, it's been said that Copenhagen have agreed to double his original wages with them from £6 to £12k a week if he returns, it could only happen at Cardiff City,

well done moody and malky, great business.

That is crackers!
Would love to know exactly who recommended and signed cornflake, some serious egg on someone's face!
Only good to come out of this and odemweinge etc is that it looks like ole has got some bollocks, knows what he wants from a player and happy to make big decisions.
Hopefully OGS' buys will prove to be a bit more productive!

Last Summers transfers In,,, have been proved to to be little short of scandalous, a total breach of trust, & one of personal Judgement.

Surely him going back home is best for everyone, plus he's getting his old wages doubled - I can't imagine him demanding 70% of the wages he would of earnt here, surely? You'd have to be a bit of a nob to be that young and greedy. He struck me as somebody void of ego and was desperate to hit the ground running - it just didn't happen. We'll all see i guess!

Who recommended and signed him?
Mmmm......... would that perhaps have been Malky and Moody?
Or can we pin the blame on Tan?
Either way, farewell Hamlet - your time at Cardiff has truly been a tragedy.

i can't see cardiff paying 70% of his wages

No, don't think for a second our summer signings had anything to do with Tan.
How did the Moody/malky set up work? Did moody recommend to malky, then malky had final decision to the signing?
Basically, who's balls up is it...moody or malky?

Yes, him going back home does seem the best deal for all parties involved, it's not a case of him demanding 70% of his wages it's what Cardiff City have offered to cancel his contract, (wages) his agent could insist that we pay the full amount if he wanted but that wont happen. it's been a total mess from the start although no fault of the player, he's hardly going to turn down the financial package we offered him is he??? moody and malky are the guilty men in this deal, sometimes a players move doesn't work out but the money they threw at this young lad was shocking, no wonder they were sacked.

I'll be honest I really don't know why City want to get rid of Joe Mason & I'm a little surprised that he hasn't started either' I think he is a very good player, I'd be dissapointed to let him go I genuinely believe he would be getting us goals if he had been starting regular, on the Cornelius situation I'm just so angry this caper has turned out
