Theatre of Dreams  Dire atmosphere, Manchester United played like an ordinary team, which worries me as we might of held possession a lot, but we only had one proper shot in 90 mins, Noone shot over the bar in the first half and that was all we really created . Man City were a different class than a United and I felt we should of got something out of them, it was def not the Man a United of old.

Fair play to the City fans with the BLUE cards, our fans certainly looked BLUE tonight keep it going

We have now had 4 League defeats in a row , we must put this behind us and hope that Ole's virtually new team by next Sat of hopefully 7 players pays off as at the moment this current team in my opinion is going no where.

The real test starts against Norwich City at home this Saturday, let's fill the stadium and create an atmosphere of a club showing they have no intentions of going down  :ayatollah:

A quick question have we a leader on the pitch?

It's still totally in our hands and the games and the points are there so there is still no reason why we can't stay up :ayatollah:

Only one shot because of the rubbish strikers left from malkys reign which doesn't give Ole much to choose from..
He has had alot to do removing the the dead wood from the squad and hopefully will get his own strikers in soon then i think we should judge him and the team.
As of united ordinary  RVP and Rooney back and new singing Mata to give the whole place a boost that wasn't the united side of the last few weeks and they didn't look like they were suffering confidence.
Cardiff city played well at old trafford against a strong united side and like it or not Ole has the team playing much better football and we are 100% better to watch now :thumbright:

Jinks, Always blaming Malky and always blaming previous, managers/owners etc
No thanks to Malky's great reign, no appreciation for what he achieved, No wonder football has No loyalty nowadays.

As to much better football by City last night, last night showed no improvement than two months ago, one shot on goal in 90mins, hopefully against Norwich this Saturday we can really go for it and Ole will know all his strengths and weaknesses as it will be his 6th game in charge and Ole loves playing attacking football, so with Norwich,Jacks,Villa,Fulham,Hull,Stoke,Palace etc all coming up soon and there for the taking, I feel we should be able to comfortable climb out of the relegation zone  :ayatollah:

To me United did not look like a class side last night far from it and 5 defeats at home this season and their worse run for 20 years, I honestly thought City would get something from the game,BUT Norwich home is up next and lets fully get behind the Bluebirds :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I'm always thankful for what malky did but why should i be loyal to him i'm loyal to the team not him?
Ole came in and only had Malkys duds up front to use until he can change it.
Malky paid silly amounts of money on absolute crap ie maynard , corn and odemwingie leaving us with no quality up front i believe he's to blame for us not having anyone decent other than Frazier to use up front.

Thought the game was a strange one. On the face of it, looking at the respective quality of the starting teams and bench, losing 2-0 at the Theatre of Dreams seems a good result but ManU are not at their best and they are no Man City. We had a lot of possession but did nothing with much of it except play it into blind alleys , square or back to Marshall when all options had gone. A few specific thoughts.
Have thought all season we need a 'Kavanagh'. Someone who puts his foot in and leads and urges the team forward.
We look lightweight, small and short, especially after Mutch went off.
Why didn't any of the new signings start?
We put a lot of high balls into the box but rarely win any. Campbell has had a thankless task this season but he is no leader of the line. Perhaps he will show his worth with 2 upfront with KJ leading.
Hopefully Ole has a cunning plan to lead us to safety.

Can't agree with you there, I thought City were like a completely different team playing keep ball and passing it around well like Swansea :o . Marshall looking to roll the ball to defenders and matching Utd with movement and passing. What was missing was the final killer pass or any real shots on goal. But still think it's a big improvement to the dire stuff of a couple of months ago, hopefully Ole can get them playing in the final third.

Agree with redbird here.

Being sat with the utd fans I can say quite accurately that the city fans out sung the utd fans by far.

Utd fans said we were the loudest opposition in a while.

The game wasn't the best. I felt city lacked any real quality going forward.

Bellamy looked so past it , it was a bit embarrassing. The Utd fans got on his back, and he didn't really react in a positive way. His yellow card was stupid on his behalf!

Marshall did well with the RVP goal, 2 sweet blocks, the follow up was always going in.

Ashley Young has to be one of the weakest links in the utd team, yet he was given the chance to run at us, and he scored. From where I sat it looked a bit tastey, but again why was he given the space to run.

Utd fans are a disgrace, well the majority, even after the first goal they just sat on their hands!!!

Probably going to get slaughtered for saying this..... But I don't think Malky would have lost 2-0 to such a poor Utd team.

Anyway like Annis said it all starts with Norwich.

City fans did the club proud. :ayatollah:

Agree with Annis, we seemed to match United in a lot of aspects, we seem very light weight up front the last few months. I know Campbell works hard and sometimes he gets no service, but surely he should adopt his game more to link up as well?
I hope that Kenwynne Jones can be the man to do that and hopefully OGS can play Campbell and jones together to sort our shortage of goals.
Shortage of goals now = Relegation

Let make home advantage pay in the next few games and then a double over the "peg sellers" down west
Keep the Faith :ayatollah:

Thought we played well. First half, but Fraser needs a striker up with him, def missing a leader in the middle. The longer the season has gone on it has become more apparent how bad MAlkys recent signings have been, we have a lot of rebuilding to do, but I think we will get back to playing attractive football, something we have not done since Christmas last year... If the fans can be as passionate for the next few home games as they were last night then that will be a big help,

There is no such thing as loyalty in football whether its owners, players or managers.......not forgetting fans. Its rresults and profits driven. It may not be nice to hear but I still prefer it to the 80's and 90's game.
