Wishful thinking to land a player like zouma, he's a top 6 team player in the making. Wouldn't be surprised to see him at Chelsea

We tried in the summer

Now he's getting touted for Chelsea for £16m.

Perhaps he'll be tempted by being offered a shorter contract until the end of the season perhaps, where he'll automatically earn a better and new contract, should he play a certain amount of games for example!

Better that than not strengthening the CB at all. Forren is very capable and I'd rate him in front of all three current options.

Forren flopped at Saints, £4 million, 6 months, 0 first team appearances. And you think he's better than Caulker?

Perhaps he meant the 3 options to play alongside Caulker, like Turner, Hudson & Connolly! :)

If Ramis has failed medical, what chance we are still speaking to him about a potential loan move?

Forren was bought by a manager who was sacked a week after he arrived. And Potechino or whatever his face wanted his ball playing CB to be quicker and thus never played him.

Are you his agent? I'm sure whats-his-face had his reasons for not playing Forren. But don't you think if he was good enough, he would have played? If he was too slow for the saints back 4, i wouldn't fancy him much in ours. Wouldn't be a big improvement. No point getting players in just for the sake of it, and because they use to play for Molde.

Let me phrase it with this easy to grasp example: on all occasions he has partnered with Hangeland for Norway, he has been the better of the two.

If it doesn't make sense to you that a player who was bought by a manager a week before said manager got sacked didn't get to play under the new manager who played radically different tactics, I'm sorry to say - and no offense - but you seem rather thick or you're trying to be a wind up.

No need to resort to insults just because someone disagrees with you, mate. What are you, nine? So by your logic, every player who is already at a club when a new manager comes in doesn't get played, because the previous manager bought him. Er... ok.

It is not the fact that you argue or disagree, it's the manner in which you do it, in this case being obviously derisive and facetious.

"by your logic, every player who is already at a club when a new manager comes in doesn't get played, because the previous manager bought him."

 Forren was unfit. If he'd been fit and on form, had understandings with teammates, and other positive factors weighing to his advantage, the new manager would have a different player on the chopping block. In this case, Yoshida and Hooiveld had just started making an impressive partnership together, coming from a string of excellent displays together. To make it worse for Forren, CB first choice José Fonte was coming back from injury.

Why would he even bother with Forren, who was now 4th choice, when he had already made up his mind that he wanted to bring a new CB into the club before he took the job?

Forren was the easy target, simple.

And you weren't being obviously derisive by calling me thick? It seems to me, your argument for buying Forren is made up entirely of 'if's' and maybe's. And there are a lot of them. You can make excuses for him all day long but the fact is, he flopped at Southampton. Managers play who they consider to be their best players and by your own admission, even Yoshida was rated above him, lol. His name's not been mentioned in connection with us anyway, so this conversation is irrelevant. And over.
