For spoiling it for the rest of us and stopping us buying hot drinks/food on one of the coldest away trips this season.

The real reason of today's decision to close food kiosks 50 to 60 of our darling kid fans jumping up and down singing let's go ****ing mental with beer going over the staff serving.

When I was arguing with a steward at half time re the reason his answer act like animals get treated like animals

Yes some of the stewards acted like idiots but they were probably pissed off with the actions of some of our fans

Normally I wouldn't give a shit but was particularly pissed off with some of our "fans" today

NJ, I was there 5mins before halftime with my daughter and there was no problem with our fans at all, then the stewards arrived and said they wont be opening any food outlets due to health and safety and they had been told to say this from the top. We were all stunned, even our Police complained, then after about 10 mins of waiting yes 50 odd youngsters started dancing and signing, no trouble at all from them, yes they danced around, but it was 100% nothing to do with that, it had already been decided long before that.

Come on FFS, they don't close the food outlets for nothing.

One of the reasons I didn't go today was partly what happened last season.

Dando, a good friend of mine a Bolton season ticket holder, told me that their stewards have had many complaints made against them in the last 2 years.

I think someone posted a video of some footage from a Reading fan it might have been Reading where the stewards were being knobheads.

I don't want to sound stupid or pathetic but it was one reason no doubt I didn't go up there, kind of ruins the day in some respects and the fact you could be doing nothing wrong yet get picked on for no reason.

Sadly I saw that today, with my own eyes, we were no angels years ago, but we were well behaved today and they were hell bent on picking on our fans.

What you meant to say was, we are well behaved now, compared to how bad we used to be, which was very bad  I don't know why our supporters get so wound up, a large percentage behave like cunts, how amusing do they find it to smoke in the away toilets, not that it just f*cking stinks, but it is also a safety issue. Yet they laugh in the face of anyone who questions their actions. I have had many jump in front when queuing at the kiosks, just pushing in, when you confront them, they are happy to have a scrap over it, that's how f*cking sad some are, willing to fight each other over a place in a Que. A large percentage of our support are pricks and that's the way everyone perceives us, deal with it or stop whingeing

Wow don't know what you call a large percentage but I can assure you these comments are way off the mark.

Like you say, credit where it 's due. That was my boy and the steward was great.

However when I ironically called another Steward 'smiler' later in the reaction was a bit different....

Re: BOLTON FC AND STEWARDING - DISGRACEFUL

I was warned about stewards before game and there are several
Mentions of Bolton stewards on footy websites.

We were also talking to Bolton fans after game, they told me the stewarding has been
Complained by many other teams fans.

It was freezing there with rain.

They kept bars shut from after kick off. No reason.
No facilities for smokers or tv (like our club does to all away fans)

For leytonestone to call our fans pricks is poor, because what I saw was a group
Of kids dancing and chanting to open bar AFTER THE BAR CLOSED, while the older fans with kids etc we're asking police and stewards,
trying to find out how they could get food and a hot drink.
Most fans had travelled at least 4 hours to be there.

Annis is right. In years gone by, when they treated us like animals, we behaved like animals.
The chanting etc yesterday, very tame by comparison.
It was if they were trying to provoke us yesterday???

I saw the kid who got hit by a smoke bomb, panicked and threw it away, right in front of me.
The flare went down to exactly where police where standing. No opportunity for discussion with us who saw it.
OUT.

I saw stewards several times come and snatch fans, very OTT if you look at general behaviour.
A saw that guy taking photo of stewards rough treatment, only for himself to be forcibly ejected!

The career going was laughable if it were not so serious.

Their (stewards) actions were peppering me watching a football match FFs.

There are idiot fans in all clubs (that is society). But yesterday the only pricks were the stewards.

Ps
The new kid is special isn't he? Nearly got a goal too :ayatollah:

Just to add on what Eddie said, we discussed this on the train home last night if that kid or any of mates are on here and he's in a bit of bother with the old bill etc we will be more than happy to back you up mate, as we were a row behind you , it was unfortunate lob of the flare which just happened to land at the coppers feet as he turned round.

I was on the concourse until 2 minutes before kick off, and there was no bad behaviour from the city fans at all, the area was so small you would of seen/heard it. There was the usual singing/chanting etc. I went for for a pint ht and was informed that everything was closed for "safety reasons". Police Bolton, Bolton blamed the police.

Don't come on here very often, just read, read, read ... but this match annoyed me somewhat and by far and away the worst experience that I have had at any match I have attended.

I took the Lady and my 9 and 10 year old son and to not be allowed any hot drinks on a bloody freezing day was incredible. The police's reaction to the lovely Lady asking why they weren't being sold was also very curt and abrupt, "Due to the behaviour of certain elements of your fanbase."

The problem is that what I have quoted above did happen about 30-45 minutes before kick off, where pints of beer were launched into the air soaking all four of us.

However, in fairness, there were no issues with the group that had huddled together and everything, I thought, was in good humour and not intimidating in the slightest. Boisterous behaviour maybe, but not aggressive.

The ban on drinks was bang out of order!!

What if there were diabetics present who were relying on the fact that the sale of drinks or food is a given in any match?

I had another altercation with a jobsworth of a steward who wouldn't let my kids sit 2 seats over the imaginary line on Row Z to get a clear view (compared to Hull where the stewards bent over backwards to ensure that they had a seat with a clear view) , but in comparison to some of the other complaints, although valid, this seems like splitting hairs.

I am now in the position where I would have to seriously consider whether or not I take the kids again.

Overall, a good but cold match was ruined by way OTT and overzealous policing and stewarding.

I'm another City fan who was disgusted to be associated with some of our fans today. As I was entering the stadium there was a smoke detector going off and I hadn't put two and two together until I read earlier in this post about a smoke bomb possibly being let off near the food kiosks. My wife also had to walk past the chanting supporters to get to the loo and was pushed all over the place by beer toting fans with no consideration for others. But for me that wasn't the worst.

In the seats and immediately before kick off a load of lads came in and just pushed into the rows of seats around us. Several of them just stood in front of kids who were shoved back and squashed against their own seats by yobs who were just trying to avoid the stewards following them up the steps and trying to pursuade them to find a proper seat and not stand in the isles. These dickheads were confrontational and just kept saying to the kids parents that they move once the stewards had gone.

Like most I'd read about the reputation of Bolton stewards and their keeness to clear walkways etc. Being aware of that should have said to most normal people to be careful and not to make waves.

I saw two or three guys (and hopefully they'll read this and realise what tossers they are) who spent the whole game bating stewards by singing foul songs about their mothers, wives and even daughters. They did this continually until the stewards came up to confront them, then they'd pretend to be all matey. Then as soon as the stewards walked a few rows down they'd repeat their foul comments again. Interestingly they never did it to their faces.

There's always two sides to a story but for me I often find myself wishing that some of these tossers found themselves outside with their details taken and fed back to the club. Missing some games would hopefully sort them out. I did find myself thinking yesterday that these idiots seem hell bent on taking us back ten years to the kind of reputation that we've worked hard to shake off. Unfortunately it seems to be scenario that's happening much more frequently of late.

Meeting the club tomorrow will be lodging complaints with BWFC, Football league; Football Licensing Authority; greater Manchester Police, and the Safety advisory group of Bolton Council!

Any eye witness statements please in box me or drop them in the supporters office at the Norwich game.

We are still dealing with last season incidents!

Thanks

My missus took the little un down and was stunned they couldn't get a hot drink at half time.

They were also on a tram between Manchester Piccadilly & Victoria and said the police were being very heavy handed with City fans and one lad was harshly treated and warned for chanting bluebirds twice.

Thought they were mostly a bunch of twats yesterday. Could see they were itching to get fans thrown out for next to nothing. Closing the snack bar was a total disgrace as it was freezing yesterday. Fair play to the steward who looked like Harry Hill though. Did the Ayatollah and laughed when we were singing "Harry is a Bluebird" :ayatollah:
