They keep going on about the the so called fighting, which lasted a minute. Ive been told it started when a steward tried to take a Cardiff fan out.

I was on level 2 and thought the same. I looked around and there were young boys and a few girls where I was sat and a load of old men. This wouldn't have happened many years ago in the lower leagues. No one was singing where I was. :(

The ground was also 2 tier and one tier will sing one song and the other tier will sing a different song.

I said the same to Carl about the two tier, but then Chelsea away was 2 tier and we only took 1,300 yet we sung more.

hey don't blame the women! i've been going for 20 yrs and always sing so ner!! yesterday was dire, it's almost as if we've reached the pinnacle and now can't arsed. serious point has all the off the pitch saga now affected the fans? are we suffering a kind of post traumatic depression!

whatever it is we all need to snap out of it fast and raise the levels.

I hope thats not true and we can get the atmosphere going again, we did at Villa this season, Surely United away should be awsome :ayatollah:

i hope so i booked the week off work to go! (shite only able to book block weeks policy!)

i prefer night games for atmosphere as a rule.

I hope it turns out worth while.
Always the best night games :ayatollah:

I was on top tier yesterday, atmosphere was poor, can't believe city fans, waited so long to get to these stadiums, yet the vocal support is poor. I think the whole constant message board arguments about red/blue has divided the old/ new fans, which shldnt be, we all support one club and Ole and the team need our vocal support now more than ever. Leave the rebrand to the side for now, time for Cardiff city fans to step up and do their bit to help retain Premiership status. Starting at Bolton the passion must return .

Singing non stop for 90mins even while we were losing is what made football special. These days they dont seem to get it.

the fans made football and made MOTD specail to watch years ago. Sad to watch really.

Football was an occasiin years ago now its just turn up watch go home

Roathie is correct. The Premier League is a plastic fans dream. These are day trippers and he's 100% spot on. They go to games because they want a day out etc. They don't really care about the club. Theres loads of fans who go now who used to slate our fan base or were rugby fans and would say our game is for girls etc. etc.

Now they're down the CCS all the time. Whenever i'm home and in the pub I like to make a point of them being glory supporters.

It was quite loud where I was, lower level nearer the back, could be because we had the roof above us and the noise was contained. Also close to away fans.

I was going to say the same, that's where I was

We must have been in different stadiums, the one I was in was the one where we out sung the Stockport Massive :D

As for the atmosphere in this game, i missed it. But many people have come here saying exactly what Annis has and I think its a problem in British football to be honest. Last match I went to I was shocked at how quiet we were. It was terrible.

ALL British football atmosphere is pathetic Castro, with the possible exception of Rangers and Celtic. But even they don't compare with the frenzy in football stadia elsewhere in the world. Too many prawn sandwiches I think

Could it be that a lot of us older die hard fans who went to the lower league matches are being priced out of the game. When my kids were junior bluebirds, it was a reasonably cheap afternoon, if they were young now there is no way I could afford to take them on a regular basis, yet years ago hardly missed a game.

It has been said a few times - different tiers had different songs at different times.
It was generally quiet on the top tier.

Perhaps it depended where you stood. We were a few seats away from the separation with the Manc lads and it was non-stop singing and banter. Best of all was the 'you fat b*stard ' to the guy win the tash. My ears still hurt. Will hold my hands up though to being one of the un singing crowd. Will try and do better. Looking forward to another stop-over for the ManU game.

Just wanted to say that I witnessed a conversation between a Dad and another bluebird saying it was his son's first away trip. Hope the kid enjoyed it. Think he was about 7 or 8. The first game I can remember watching at Ninian Park was against Man city in the Fa cup, late 60's I think, when they had a great team.

We all went to Manchester City yesterday expecting City to get a hammering, but to me, we never got hammered in fact City gave a good account of themselves and fought every inch of the way and we even scored two goals.

Ole's team gave a battling battling/passionate performance in my eyes :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Surely us fans should of gone up there and had a party and cheered and sung for 90 minutes? We hardly sung and hardly madfe a noise :o

Some of you are prob not bothered about this and prob dont care by what I am posting, but to me this is what it is all about.
Ive seen us lose 7-1 at Luton and 6-1 at Port Vale, but our fans kept singing and signing.

Lets all have a disco :ayatollah:

We waited 51yrs for this lets enjoy. :ayatollah:

IF YOU ALL WANT TO STAY UP, THEN THE FANS HAVE TO DO THEIR PART AND BE THE 12TH MAN, WERE IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE, WHERES OUR PASSION, LETS ENJOY AND HAVE A PARTY :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

the key remark here is 3000..not 300................the 90% extras are mostly relatively new fans..and its been a long long time since we had a season where we lost more than won.......longer than maybe is realised..........this is brand new to anyone below 30 years of age

I was top tier near the home fans and the atmosphere was very disappointing
2-1 against one of the best teams in the world and people were silent
a few younger lads in front and me and my mate gave it a go but most of the fans around me were saying gunnars shit, whitts is shit etc.
Had a good bit of banter with a phil Mitchel lookalike in the manc end

i was top tier too..........lots of people i didnt know.....a few with red scarves, complaining about pretty much everything............no TVS on under stand, the atmopsphere { which of course they are suppose to b a part of } individual players...Whitts needs to take a leaf out of Toures book { or maybe we buy a toure lol }........the view was good though

I don't think the atmosphere was very good at home against West Ham either

Re: ' Where was the Party & Passion? "

We have gone soft. We should be well up for the fight. Singing our hearts out, being the 12th man of our side but instead we go quite and nervous. Same happens at home.

Cardiff fans have always stood up and been counted when our back have been against the wall before. Lets do the same again and show we are Cardiff, we barmy, we off our f##king heads.

I watched a stream of the match yesterday and apart from the odd Blue Moon, all you could hear was our fans. Dont be too harsh.....yesterday was all about keeping the goal difference respectable.

Agree with Annis post 110% but times have changed, people ave changed and society has changed, football fans and stadiums have also changed! We're not unique in this and I feel at times that passion is there, Granted its been selected games but its not gone! And it has been hard with goings on, not having much to shout about! I agree, time to get back to what we can be!! Loud fans!! I also think we have set ourselves high standards, a mate of mine is a Fulham fan and he said he had never seen anything like our away support at Fulham !! Keep the faith, long way to go! :ayatollah:

I really don't know why this is a subject worth debate any longer, turn up at any great ground these days and there's no atmosphere. Far greater sets of fans than ours cannot create any atmosphere, go to Old Trafford, Anfield, Stamford Bridge, White Hart Lane etc, all like Morgues. As a passionate spectacle the game is dead, the authorities and clubs have seen to that with all their measures, get used to it, until the game becomes reclaimed by the working/lower classes it will now continue to become a sterile hemogenised product

To be honest I thought the atmosphere from our fans was decent yesterday but not constant at times we were very loud and when Frazer scored his goal I started singing 'we're going to win 5-4' and that caught on and was loud. After getting home last night i watched SNF and we sounded loud on TV.

I thought Man Citys support was absolute shit and I only heard them when they went 4-1 up and then not for very long :o anyone complaining about the atmosphere at the CCS should have been at the Etihad yesterday because it was dire!

Different crowd now, more women and families. It's shit, 1-0 down at palace and of it wasn't for a small group of us singing the other 2000 or so just stood there like rabbits in the headlights instead of using the intimidation factor and giving out players confidence. No bottle left
