Like they didn't against you either? We got 5 goals and three points against by far the strongest side in the premiership at the moment... I'm pretty happy with that.

A very good return indeed without question.

Doesn't detract from the fact I thought they barely got out of first gear today though.

I've no issue with others having a different opinion as is their right.

saying that I can see why a guy that supports "swansealona   " ,everyones second favourite team would be underwhelmed by ordinary Manchester city

Very encouraging today looked a lot more of a threat going forward Noone was outstanding and forced Hart into two very good saves  I thought Man Citys support was absolute shit and only really heard them when they went 4-1 up but fair play they give a good ovation to Bellamy when he came on :ayatollah:

We now need to beat Bolton who will be dangerous and hurting after their drubbing today but a win there would give us heart going to Old Trafford and maybe we can sneak a point or three :D :old:

Got to be optimistic come on you Blooooooooooooooooooobirds :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Good post Carl.

The following gird shows that we have got the hardest January out of all the teams when Sunderland and palace have had the easiest. Granted they have still got to win them games but it just shows how the fixture list can dictate the table with it being so close. All to play for.

After a shaky start, I thought we were superb yesterday. Noone destroyed Kolarov all game and Eikrem has to start against Utd as he has the range of passes that Whitts used to have... Ya Ya Toure is a big pussy, but have to admit his pass for the second goal was out of this world - someone should have taken one for the team and brought him down for the third though.

I can't believe after a performance like that we have ended up bottom of the table. More of the same against Utd and who knows - they are nowhere near as good a side as city.

I liked the way many of the Cardiff players fought in yesterdays game.I think they showed that they allready are very good players and just have to start believing even more in their own skills and possibility to develop further as both players and a team.
Of course we could see at times that they aren't used to quite this kind of pace and overall top level quality players, but just think of who they played against? Man City has used insane amounts of money to buy players that are among the best in the world, and they also seem to finally have started to play as a team,a very good team, maybe on of the best in the world at the moment.Besides Bayern Munchen I see them as one of the favourites to win Champions League this year.
It should give the Cardiff players confidence to see that they at times are up to that level,or at least not that far away.

Craig Noone was an absolute joy to watch! What a class player in my opinion.I would be surprised if there don't start to drop in bids on him from some of the top clubs if he continues to play with this kind of courage. At times the Man City defenders trying to stop him looked like championship players in comparison
Campbell worked hard, and I really like that kind of players. It was a difficult game for him pretty much alone in front when you have to defend against a top top team like Man City. His goal showed he thinks like a good striker in my opinion. And seeing him back defending his teams goal in the 89 minute really impressed me.A class player who I am confident will continue to develop and grow under Ole and his co-trainers.
I also liked what I saw from the CBs,Caulker and Turner. At times they understandable struggled with some of the best attackers in the world, but overall I think they gave a solid performance.
And Marshall looks solid.

Overall a fun game to watch, allthough I do of course not like to loose. But the Bluebirds performance gave me more reason to believe they will survive Premier League.
The real battle starts in february against Norwich(?) ,but I also believe the Bluebirds might make Man United shake a little bit if they continue the way they did against Man City.

Go Bluebirds! :ayatollah:

Great post mate

I love the grid, we all knew we had a difficult January, but it's nice to see that others agree.

At West Ham we were unlucky to lose, the ref played them on when we were trying to clear the ball, that's one of those things and our luck will change.

Sunderland was a season changer also with them equalising six minutes into extra time, those two points and one less for them would make a massive difference.

Onwards and upwards as shown we have plenty of winnable games to pull out of danger in Feb, March and April :ayatollah:

My bollocks are still hurting from the kick we got in them with that Sunderland equaliser.

Still sickening

Well said, let's hope we can do it, very tight down there now and we are playing much more attacking football which is great to watch
