Yes! We weren't 1 pt off Palace who had spent considerably less, he wasn't quarrelling with the owner of the club were we? Spent about 15m on strikers over the past 18 months yet our joint top scorer is a central midfielder. Campbell was a good buy but not clinical enough in PL. Stop arse licking Malky
The only solution was to sack him, no other way. We weren't hard to break down by any means and we weren't scoring goals. In fact we've been voted the laziest team in the PL by analysis.

The problem was Tan. If Tan had just sat back and allowed Malky to do his job, we would be in a much better position than we are currently in now and we would have stayed up. Our only poor home performance was when everyone was surprised Malky was still manager and with all the disruptions from Tan causing the 3-0 defeat to Southampton. This was just what Tan wanted to justify sacking Malky and manipulate people like you into thinking Malky wouldn't have kept us up.
Now if we look at our home games, where points are to be picked up in our first half of the season, you will see we have probably had the toughest run of home games in the first half of the season. We have already played Man City (win), Everton (draw), Spurs (loss), Man Utd (draw) and Arsenal (loss). 5 teams who finished in the top 6 last season. The other 3 teams we played at home during Malky's reign were Newcastle, Swansea and West Brom. Newcastle are another top half team in 8th place currently. But under Malky, we beat Swansea and West Brom at home. So we had only actually played 2 teams at home who are in the bottom half under Malky, and Malky had a 100% win record in those 2 games.
Since Malky has got sacked, we have taken 1 point from our last 2 home games against Sunderland and West Ham who were both below us before we played them. Whatever you think about Malky, he made us very difficult to beat at home. I believe we would have got far more than just 1 point from the Sunderland and West Ham home games under Malky. When looking at our run of home games in the second half of the season, only Liverpool and Chelsea are games that don't look winnable. I would have fancied us to take points from every other home game under Malky and that would have been good enough to keep us up.
That is my opinion, but there's too many people wishing for more open, attacking, entertaining football. Unfortunately, we have sacked Malky and have since started playing more open and attacking football, which has already resulted in us throwing away 5 points in our Sunderland and West Ham home games.

The goal this season was always to stay up and I believe Malky would have achieved that.

So thats your goal. Im pretty sure if you had forked out the 5th largest transfer funds in the prem you would expect slightly better than "just staying up" after having £50m, mid to bottom half was an achievable target.
