How wrong i was.

Ask the question WHY?

You clearly didn't watch Velikonja play for the development team to make such an idiotic post! :laughing6:

Did you watch him play in his first game?

As a matter of fact i have watched him in development games,,,very uninterested in the last one i watched him play (v Charlton last May). What exactly is idiotic about my post?

My post wasn't directed at you. It was directed to Neokutai. I fully agree with you that Velikonja looked uninterested in the development games and centre backs under 21 were muscling him off the ball. Velikonja just isn't suited to the physical British game.

So you think Malky would of admitted that he did not buy Etien then Bob..?? im sure he would of recieved his p45 alot quicker than he did if revealed the truth

1) Annis has said that he was informed that Malky did not buy Etien at the time by a member of the backroom staff
2) Malky has never extinguished the persisting rumour that he was not involved in his purchase
3) Etien is now moving to Tan's other club?? hmm, why was it only Etien that has been asked to move on loan?? why didn't he ask Filip Kiss if he would be interested??
4) It all suggests Tan is financially and emotionally involved in Etien's career as he wishes to save face by Etien becoming a star.

Tan buying players turned into a disaster, I do genuinely believe that because of what has happened before, Tan now accepts that taking the word of agents who are so good at sales, they could sell him a pack of crisps for 10k is NOT the way forward.

1)What annis says ain't gospel
2)Malky has clearly stated he was chasing etien for a while, even before he met Tan, so you think Tan just happened to want the same person as malky, bit of a coincidence wouldn't u say :?
3)He is moving him to that club because that is the area he is from and no local club will want him :thumbright:
4) Finacially involved  he paid pennies for etien compared to what he has spent on other players :laughing5:

1) did I say anyone's word was gospel?? Annis has more contacts at the club than me, you and the 99.5 majority
2) Ever heard of football agents mate ;)
3) Maybe that is true, Sarajevo is 6 hours drive to Ljublijana I checked
4) He cost 3.6 mil Euros...your statement is invalid

How do you know annis has more contacts than me? You don't know who I am
What you talking about agents, these words come out of Malkys mouth.
Like i said pennies.

the odds are on my side when I say Annis has more contacts.
You asked me if I take Annis's word as 'gospel' but you seem to take MM's words as that!!

Its my opinion that Tan was approached by an agent of a supremely influencial agency to buy Etien..It's my opinion and there is nothing out there to convince me otherwise :ayatollah:

Good on you Thomas, you stick to your guns.

Don't let facts get in the way of a great blinkered view based solely on rumour, a thirst to label Tan the devil and a need to worship the message boards hierarchy.

Its not blinkered, there is plenty of rumour to suggest Tan bought Etien which has been made public, and I happen to believe.

Football Managers are like modern day politicians, Liars!! Did you believe Mourinho when they got the dodgy penalty at the end of the West Brom game when he said. 'We deserved the point' and it 'was definately a pen' etc....No we don't believe that rubbish.

If Tan signed a player, as a model professional Malky took responsibility for it at the time. However, now that he has no contractual obligation to Tan he has so far refused to extinguish the rumours.

I agree. The boy just didn't fit in to the style of football we required,,,,through no fault of his own may i add.
What we wanted was a non gambling Rocky Chopra, or a fit Heidar Helguson player at the time. Helguson was a brilliant player with us, especially as it was his final professional footballing season. Respects.

Helguson was a warrior. I will never forget his header home to Hull where he had the choice of scoring and knocking himself out on the post, or leaving it. Fortunately for us, he chose to score and knock himself out on the post and we went on to win, which was crucial to us winning the title. Could you ever imagine someone like Bothroyd doing that?

A great example of the difference between a man & a boy. Helguson had guts,,,& balls. Cardiff City FC is going to need eleven players with both these qualities, if we are to to stay in the Premiership!
