I have read all the links...Lets get real though, there is no way Malky is going to admit that Etien was bought over his head....He didn't play suggesting that it is more likely to be a Tan purchase as MM would of given him a chance somewhere surely in a 46 game championship squad, fa cup, league cup...the start of the friction possibly with Tan not playing him.

The rumours of Tan's involvement were never extinguished by MM....the reports is all "WE thought it was the right time to bring him over."( MM )rather than the singular "I tried to sign him when at Watford." More likely scouted him as he didn't move to Watford did he.
