Which again is in my original post, gywnn and his merry men ruined bu at first and yes they came back, and I go with all of them. Your right there not scared of them and they have set back up, but most involved dont go away anymore which is why Gwynn etc have carried on to use there bullying tactics on the few who do. But it wasn't enough yes a hardcore of 50-100 but it should have been thousands do you not agree?

He's not strictly talking about football violence

Football is dead, far too middle class and corperate. You can see this by the priorities of those who post on this and the other board(more so the other board)lIKE OTHERS I tried to fight for the city identity but have now given up football and realised it's a mugs game. Fans are soulless and get what they deserve, piss taking prices, piss taking players on piss taking money, piss taking owners, most of the cooler fans will move on, leaving behind the odd diehard who can't adapt to the new world, these diehards will look increasingly sad and past-it. I saw a few of these diehards yesterday As drove through Canton, I respect them a lot, but they aren't half looking sad attending a statdium they hate. Why? because they've always done it? They can't adapt? perhaps they deserve points for loyalty, perhaps they will lead the revolution and I will look bad for jumping ship? Or perhaps they are a little bit lost as the rug slides from beneath their feet. replaced with a middle class hessian back carpet. I hate what city have become and for me, it will never be the same even in blue. Far too many traded our heart and soul for this over rated league. Remember the good days and move on. Or do something about it, become a militant fringe but meekly attending with a glum face waiting for the revolution. to me it's a bit sad and middle aged

Probably because they know most of the Cardiff lot who would stand up to them are band.....
And a soulless stadium full of the most fickle fans i have ever met. No songs, no passion, no real love for the Cardiff we once new. Red... Shit badge.... And rising debts, this is only going one way, relegation and liquidation! Away used to be good, full of lads, singing old songs, new songs, piss up, passion and the odd bit of pushing and shoving with the old bill. It's getting like our home surrport now from what i have seen. The club is dead and the fans are to blame. Where is the riot over Malkey? When we turned to red we should have been steaming the bored room. We went from the most feared fans in the country, to the softest bunch of twats football has seen. Umm rant over, Cardiff is no longer, and I can't see it getting any better unfortunately.

So to summarise. What you are saying hooliganism, thuggery, cowardice and boorish behaviour is dead. Also what you wear to football is irrelevant and to mention that it is part of a football club being dead is pathetic!

Completely agree. Every attending Football fan in this day and age no matter who you support is a complete MUG

So you don't care about the results and the success of the team as long as you can have...'the odd bit of pushing and shoving with the old bill' and you are feared. Thank God the game and this club have moved on from the likes of you, and will hopefully never go back. I am sure that you can find more satisfying ways of passing your time than supporting a modern football club - well Cardiff City at least.

I dont get the gwyn thing? When we have gone down shouting for our identity back, we have not experienced no issue with anyone.
I dont go anymore because of the fans who support man utd, liverpool etc have taken over a large chunk of our support. But if i was approached in any way about wearing blue, there would be murder.

I still go for a drink down Canton for the game because i still love City, but its just not the same buzz anymore.

Maybe that is the price of success, but if it is you can keep it.

Of course I care about the results, the post is done explaining how much the club has changed and how that has factored in us bending over and having all the really-brand etc take place. I did say I expected us to lose every game yes, because i did!! We should be enjoying the pl instead it's all gone tits up because our fans are shit and there's a nutcase in charge... As much passion around as a disabled goldfish

So you expected us to lose every game but the reason your not enjoying it is because of our"Shit Fans" and "Nutcase Owner"

The working class is dead........ This is what you mean.

Football terraces used to be the preserve of the working class, middle class used to attend but that were in the minority and in the grandstands.

Society has changed, those who are working and earning average salaries class themselves as middle class and want middle class pursuits. Look at the number of pubs closing then look at the amount of Starbucks and Costa coffee houses.

The premier league actively sought this wealth band and with the help of various governments, legislation helped pave the way for modern football. The premier league is footballs most selfish, soulless money making organisation and they and Blair,Brown & Cameron are proud of it, it symbolises the "new" UK.

I recently went to the Emerates, is this what we aspire to be ? That was soulless.

The Championship is premier league lite, so its not different there. Drop to league one and we will go back to 8~10K genuine football fans, they may even love the club.

This is what we wanted for all those years, was it worth it really ??

Working Class is very much alive.
Tan has done tremendous things in the name of the Club,as well as horrific acts against the identity of the club.
He has publicly stated on several occasions that he will convert the outstanding debt to equity and we still wait for this to happen.
But where other chairmen have made false promises he has delivered.
TG is liked very much in this whole ordeal yet he introduced us to Kim Jong Tan.He was also the one who selected Malky Mackay as manager.

This is a business. If you stand and sing anti modern football agenda chants at a premiership or even championship ground then you are 110% hypocrite.

The Business is Money,Speculate to accumulate and all that jazz. Tan knows if he walks without converting then he loses out. The club will just fold and all debts will be gone. We will start from scratch from the ashes and we will create out own history and identity.

But why would Tan loses out? Do you honestly think he has put all his eggs in one basket based on one surviving season? Do you think Tan doesn't have a plan if we get relegated?

I hate Tan for what he has done to the identity and the further divide amongst the fans, I say further divide because we have never ever united under one banner.
There has always and will always be disputes and issues amongst our ranks.

The Fact that the OP attacks the Fans pays testament to that.

In what meaningful way is the working class still alive ?

Re: Cardiff city AFC is dead

Sun Jan 12, 2014 12:13 pm

Not sure I agree.

Every time I've been to see a game, home or away or on TV, in the last two seasons, all I can hear is the Cardiff fans. It's what separates us from everyone else, we're so committed and dedicated that we can out-sing even Arsenal and Liverpool at the Emirates/Anfield. The pitch invasion and at the end of last season when we got promoted, that was the most emotionally charged football game I'd seen - and it was a 0-0 with Charlton of all games!

Cardiff's not dead, far from it, we're only 18th in the best football league in the world (with 15+ games left to play) - revel in it!

:ayatollah: KTF!

B.A in what meaningful way are they dead?

Because the attendee's in the premier league and championship?

So the fans on lower league and particularly in Scottish leagues are all middle class prawn sandwich types eh!!

So you think the working class run lower league football. And to you this is evidence that they are not dead? :?

No but I don't think they're dead based on premiership football.

There has always and will always be a working class.

With or with out football :laughing6:

In what meaningful way do the working class exist today? How do you identify them?
