i can understand what you are saying about the cost of going away but the only place to be is in the premier league and for all those who want tan out surely there is more chance of somebody coming for us in the pl than the championship

I want to see the best players in city shirts and playing against us, who the hell wants to go back to the championship, the football is shocking.

But it's not about what the fan wants. If you want it to be about you go and buy into a team. It's always out about what's best for the club, which is being in the top division, testing yourself against the best, buying better and improving. Not getting relegated. That's why competitive professional leagues exist. Not so you can have a better day out with your mate.

We are a professional club in the biggest league in the world. Not the dog and duck playing in th pub league.

Some people think it all revolves around them

I take it most of you will f**k off if we go down. Bet you all can't stand the prospect of watching that dreadful football.

Bottom line is, the Prem isn't the be all and end all of football

I wouldn't say I'd like to be relegated, but it wouldn't bother me going down as I like the championship, I like watching alot of the teams in there such as Leeds and milwall, alot cheaper to :thumbright:

Bolton home..........we needed to win by a cricket score AND Bristol Rovers lose...........we lost,my very 1st relegation,it was the end of the world, after a while i got my head around it, might be a good thing, top of the old third division, and we were,we went strait back up, but it was the beginning of a dreadful 30 years..

i do agree with better prepared though..........because this time we had nothing,or next to nothing, how is a mystery

Have to disagree with you Phyl.

We should be striving to stay in the best league in the world.
Yeah I miss the away days to Coventry,Ipswich and countless other places we have both been to, to watch the City,
And I miss the Tuesday night games to..... But.....

The money the PL brings, the bigger world stage we are now on can't do us any damage and yeah the leagues predictable as u say but if we can do a Southampton or dare I say it a Swansea then we can improve and establish ourselves :ayatollah:

This will be the best season ever if Cardiff stay up, even on goal difference. That thought would make other teams shudder or worry but we can forgive all the losses and mistakes of this season if we can play to our best, try and stay up and maybe take a few out of the FA Cup along the way :D

You'll get your wish soon enough because the financial bubble will burst soon enough.

I think I was the other fan who expressed a preference for the championship referred to earlier in the thread. I don't want us to fail but I miss midweek games under lights. I miss being a big fish in the pond. I miss results where the bottom teams often beat the top teams. I hate the re brand. I hate the price of away tickets. I hate the qualification criteria for away games. Nostalgic? Yes. Rose coloured view of the 80s and 90s? Probably. But as someone said earlier, getting there was more fun than arrival and for me the result of the game isn't as important as it once was.

Thanks for the geography lesson jb but I'm sure you realise changes in allegiance simply aren't possible. I'll continue to support if it's ok with you whilst at the same time continue to miss the championship and the advantages that go with non premier football.

From a selfish point of view, I hope we stay up a few years. Too many midweek games in the Championship which I ca'nt attend due to work commitments. Only going to miss the Villa game this season. :D

The whole point of paying in the Championship is to qualify for the prem in the first place :?

You don't have to support them. You can still watch them whilst shouting LOSE! LOSE! LOSE! :ayatollah:

Interesting comments on this post,

I am sure fans of all the team in PL are sick to the stomach of how much tickets cost, and being treated like a criminal by over zealous stewarding.

'You must sit down' heil Hitler

Richard Scudamore the money grabbing b*stard, all the Chairman of the status quo PL clubs have been shafting the fans for years, and it is a culture shock for us.

Totally agree that fans are being priced out of matches....I have attended Barcelona and Real Madrid games, my experience of that was very positive in the wat fans are treated....at the turnstyles you get a free match programme and one of those energy bar thingies. And another plus is the fact I just like to turn-up!! I don't want to be on a database and told im not a proper supporter because of whatever restrictions they put upon you.

get your tickets the day before kick-off or on the day and just enjoy football, and if its sold out tough luck!! go to the pub....Richard Scudamore et al are taking the fun out of football

Thats just Spain!! I can't imagine what it must be like for a German in the bundeliga with the terraces, beer a cheap tickets to watch games.

Exactly. Sounds like people on here want us just to play friendlies or start throwing games so we don't get promoted if we do go down
