Wasnt drinking today so took my seat early, behind the training goals and he cant even strike the f*cking ball. Scored twice in abput 12 attempts. Shocking. He actually cleared the high netting TWICE!!!

If the reports are true all told this deal could cost the club 20 million.

No wonder Tans pissed. Malky needs shooting.

Polo, I was in my seat early too, but I was on my phone on this forum, when my buddy starting ranting about exactly what you just mentioned.

Re: Cornelius

Gav it was laughable even to the point of ironic cheering when he did score!!!!!

FFS this wasnt some half time penalty kicks and some fat kid scoring to the delight of the crowd this is our multi million pund striker

I got to laugh or ill cry

The coaches had him back out on the pitch before the stadium emptied, sprinting from the halfway line to the canton goal
To be honest I felt for the Boy.....f**k knows what they were doing.

Forget the lads fees and wages, that isn't his fault, that's Malky's.

As for the header the cross was slightly behind him hence the direction.

To me he won a few headers but he's trying too hard. Stay away from the play get in the box and chill a little.

May never come good but he hasn't even started at home yet...

Come on make some noise and support the boys! (Even though I think we'll go down now :( )

His agent must be a f*cking genius getting him the deal he got if the stories are correct. He's shocking and people are saying give him time. We don't have f*cking time, to think Defoe just got sold for the same fee. The mind boggles

Re: Cornelius

I can honestly say that IMO we have the worst player in the PL bar none. It's not a case of giving more playing time - he could play 90 minutes for every game until the end of the season and he will still be a Lolloping Donkey!!!

Copenhagen must have pissed themselves when we paid £7.5m for him .... astonishing!!!!

Absolutely USELESS

I expect a guy who cost 7.5million quid to get a free header from a jump which was 9yards out from there goal to maybe get this header within atleast 10yards of the other teams goal posts  hes not even rudy standard rite now in my opinion.

Agree, would rather mason

Caroll looked crap why? Hasn't played for months! Cornelious has had very little time to adjust to premier since signing with injuries and no match practice same situation as Caroll. Are people expecting polished article on this basis? As been said many times players need time to adjust, has Cornelious Had time? Noooooo. :?

Carroll set up their second and looked a damn sight better than Cornelius. It was his first game back. Cornelius has been 'fit' for months. And as someone else pointed out he has started - against Newcastle. He got pulled off and then we scored. Twice.

Re: Cornelius

I think we need to play Cornelius from the start in the next three games as he needs game time as we all expect him to put the world right in 12 minutes! (Me included) & we probably won't get nothing from Manchester (hoping though) & who cares if we go another round or two in the cup, because after the three full games we will all know and most importantly Ole will know what we've got in him, I do believe Gestede would of buried that chance yesterday though??

Exactly. He won a few flick ons. He should have done better with his chance but you won't score them all. He's not match fit and is young, having just moved from a foreign country.

Send him to Newport loan. See if he can cut the mustard in Div 2.

He wud struggle in league 2 with newport, they have decent strikers better than cornflake imo

Re: Cornelius

In any sport at the top level it has been proved that more than 70% of the battle is in the head of the person competing. In the case of ACorn he missed pre-season with an injury then got injured on his return and before he could even show a glimpse of his potential people are writing him off. This is enough to affect a seasoned professional yet alone an under 21 year old playing in a different country. Add to that VT's outburst of buying a Bently and getting a Toyota and that's only the public criticism, what has happened behind closed doors? Is it any wonder he is not playing to his full potential? I think he will eventually become a very good player from the videos that I have seen of him and as for running, the other players have said he is the fastest in the team. Give him time and get off his back.

As I said in another thread about Cornelius:
Having watched a few videos of Cornelius I believe he can do well for us. I think he's just short of confidence at the moment and when he gets his first goal we should see a change. Malky did pay too much for him though but I don't believe he's a flop and a shit player as many are making out, he just needs more playing time and that elusive first goal.
