He's not shit, he played in the champions league final for us 3 years ago, he'll do well for you.

I'm quite shocked at the fact that people think signing a Brazilian full back from Manchester United would be a bad idea.

First Brazilian player we've ever signed.

If we sign Fabio on loan that'll mean Zaha isn't coming :( Premier League clubs are only allowed to loan one player from the same club.

You don't get to play in the champions league, win titles and stay at United for six years if you're shit. He's better than what we've got and I'm glad he's signing.

Nitemare wud.of preferred zaha to.fabs all day

Re: Fabio set to join Cardiff

He is a very nice player, can play in either full back position, right footed, a little hot headed thats all. I was talking with a knowledgeable mate about this earlier, apparantly he showed alot more potential than his brother in the earlier years but Fabio has been slightly unlucky with injuries.
I would be very interested to see the sort of player he could develop into with a good run of appearances in our team.

OGS loves attacking full backs, at least thats what ive read about his tactics at Molde FK, looks like he is tweaking our squad to allow us to play his way.

You can never please some fans no matter who we sign./try to sign, as Nobby said before, lets not forget who we are and were we are as a club, Leighton Baines isnt gonna be parked in the CCS car park on deadline line waiting for us to give him his big break!

Re: Fabio set to join Cardiff

I'm not impressed at all with this. Fabio is the worse of the two and looks very iffy! Two games
He's played for utd got sent off in one and should have been sent off in the other! He does have pace which Taylor lacks but I feel john is doing fine in that position!

They play in different positions. There's nothing stopping us having both of them.

Not better than the two currently starting, ok at back up I guess

Some guy just posted 2 players cannot be loaned from the same team, is he bullshitting or?

I can see this being a safety signing, because lets face it Taylor is a Malky player and once he's managing again, he will be looking to snap him up.

From the Daily Mail in December 2011:

"Premier League rules maintain a club can not have two players on loan from the same club."

I don't know whether it still stands or not!

I wouldn't start him ahead of john. This kid has really taken is chance and has impressed me plus he will onlyget better. Good replacement though should john get a knock a need a rest. Defo better option to have than Taylor.

I take many things from this signing:-

No one knows what the hell is going on with signings

Ole is really getting stuck in and many want to play for him

We'll probably go in for another perm winger, I'm going to guess montero but it could be anyone

Premier league rules state that a club can loan no more than four players over a season and only one player from a particular club. Also no more than 2 players can be on loan at any one time unless they become permanent signings or are emergency goalkeepers.

Totally underwhelmed to be honest.

I think hes gash and only signed for Man U to help his brother settle in IMO.

Hope to be proven wrong.

It's not incorrect governor the football league rules allow it but importantly premier league rules limit it to one player

Probably sign Fabio perm and Zaha on loan, okay signing for us, maybe sign Steven Taylor now and our defence will be equipped

Now this looks like a nice deal. Multiple caps as a U17 player, 1 cap and some call ups on senior level. A bit of trouble with temper and injuries, but matters like that will be checked out while he's on loan I'd guess.

The interesting bit, apart from the player described s quick and a fighter, is that he started out as a defensive midfielder, was converted to left back and later he's also played with relative success as a right back.

The twins was compared to the Neville brothers back in the day, and in that context I'd say that you now have the new Phil Neville on loan.
