Extra demand? But you were all over this site a few months ago, going on about your squad depth etc... So that excuse doesn't ring true for me sadly.

Giant of the European game?

Achievements? You've done nothing that we haven't done, except win the "Mickey mouse" cup... Something your fans belittled like crazy when we got to the final of it.

:laughing6:

Must have missed your wins at Stamford Bridge, the emirates, old trafford, anfield, your top ten finish, your promotion two years earlier, your European qualification and your record profits. Also missed the worldwide praise for the quality of football and your players getting capped by spain and holland. I admit we didn't achieve a rebrand or have our chairman go begging around the far east. We haven't achieved record losses or topped the 100m in debt.

That is insane debt levels for a club not guaranteed to be in the Prem next year.

That doesnt even include the £100m spend on players and wages this year

They are all seemingly on long contracts too meaning if relegated these costs arent going to go down yet the income will reduce by 70%.

This is clear evidence the rebrand was not accepted for "financial security" as your in bigger debt than ever before and nobody gives a stuff - in fact got pissed off that Tan wasnt going to spend more than the £50m already on players.

My point still stands - for all your glory years in the prem, ahead of us, we've come along and closed the gap considerably. You even lost to us. :thumbright: :thumbright:

It doesnt count the £35m (actually £50m) or the increase in annual wages to about £40m per year. This was all prior to the start of the premiership season... It will now be undoubtedly worse.

Another way to look at it and to be fair the way most sane people would look at it would be Swansea have achieved all this and arent 118,000,000 in debt and are still doing better than you in the league. Despite being a much smaller city with a much smaller stadium and not being bankrolled by a madman.
fans of 91 out of 92 clubs would easily see which club is going places and which one is on the brink.

To all the jacks in here please do not expect the newest figures to sink in to all city fans brains when in the real world a fan like me can see the truth and it will be worse next season when they come out clearly as facts do not lie, plus they are there for all to see its just some city fans choose to sweep them under the carpet and try reverse whats going on with " your the village side down the road " or " tan will convert soon " even though we are in the third season of the rebrand  ..... Its called keeping it real and im one of a few on here who do that

Got to laugh at the 2 years head start thing.
Have u not forgot the head start u had on us when we were playing hull to stay in the football league wile u were in the champ pushing for the prem.
And all them ex super stars parading around your pitch slapping there heads.
You have had very few injuries so far wile we have had many, we have played 10 more games then u yet u still think u aint far behind us.
Newcastle last year liverpool the year before, all struggled with massive squads.
The fact we are still above u and still in Europe just goes to show how far ahead of u we are.
You won your cup final and fair play to u, but lets face it we looked at u like a walk in the park as we would with crawley town in the fa cup.
You can butter it up to suit u all u like, the facts are we are the capital of welsh sport and in football the team everyone likes to watch.

We aren't. 3 points, not far at all. It's closer than you dare imagine. It's also a distinct possibility that we could be even closer by tonight.

We haven't won any cup final - although it does make me laugh that you like to call the derby that. Does the derby not matter to you then? If so, why have you got so many posts on this forum?

Of course & it will matter to you lot next month too. Wouldn't want Cardiff to do the first double, would you? :laughing6:

Well, as for the capital of sport, surely the fact that the two most followed sports in Wales (Rugby, football) are both based in Cardiff, both national teams are based in Cardiff (bigger stadia) I'd suggest that Cardiff were. The biggest football club is also here & it's playing top flight football. All Swansea have is a secondary cup competition, which not even the residents of Swansea are that bothered with, judging by attendances, so why the hell should anyone else in Wales care?

Your two years in the spotlight have gone. You're in as much of a struggle as us & lost the first premiership derby - with all those people watching.

Must have hurt. :laughing6:
