Yes, you'll have a much higher income, but you've spent £50 million in transfer fees and other associated costs and look to be spending in excess of £10 million in this transfer window as well. Add to that increase wages and costs such as £2 million for sacking Malky Mackay, then you're just not going to make a profit. We made a £14.6 million profit in our first Premier League season, having spent £10 million at most in the transfer market and with the lowest wages in the division. Yes, we made a loss in our promotion winning season due to bonuses which do need to be factored in to that loss, but we did make money in the Championship and are able to do so just due to the running of the club, our wages are 60% of income and we spend what w have. I wouldn't bank on Tan
turning debt to equity unless he can make some money out of the club, giving away 10% of his worth to a club that is losing money doesn't seem a sensible thing to do for somebody who is as good at business as Tan is.

Our annual net profit shows that money can be made out of the Premier League and that Tan could stick around long term and turn debt in to equity but he'd need to turn around the complete structure of how you are being run. He'd need to reduce player wages to 60% of income which is a health amount for a sustainably run club, reportedly Craig Bellamy and Fraizer Campbell were earning that in the Championship so I'you're current top earner are earning in the region of £50-60,000 a week. He also can't really afford to spend as much money on transfers as he did this season, £10-15 million a season on average should be enough to improve the squad if you're able to spend the money in the right places.
