They had to sell Eikrem. Herenveen are in a position of no choice. So the fact they are selling him again since joining in the summer for just 3m tells us absolutely nothing.

Diouf was played as a lone striker with no service and no playmaker in Blackburn by the most incompetent and defensive manager among managers who can show any sort of results in the PL. The fact he even scored once is a miracle.

I don't think anyone is expecting Dæhli to be anything more than a longer term talent.

Diouf isn't good enough.
Yakubu still managed to score a shit load of goals in the same team as him.

But Yakubu is that type of striker to flourish in that kind of team. He's an orangutan for god's sake. He can play with his back towards goal or off the shoulder of the defender, he can time his runs and he's no pushover in the air either.

He's a much more versatile forward, whereas Diouf is more specialized/ focused and can't really do well as a lone striker.

However I do think Diouf is a better finisher.

What? The orangutan comment has nothing to do with race, only strength. Would you prefer the word 'brute'? Or is that racist too.

As I have also stated in other posts, I do agree with Monomachos on the Norwegian signings by Solskjær. Be careful. Dæli is ok, he has a great future I think, with Sunny as his mentor. Eikrem, I'm a little wary of. But I hope he will prove me wrong. I think Nordtveit from Borossia would be a better Norwegian signing as a holding midtfielder, but Solskjær doesn't know him or vice versa.

I don't think any other Norwgians are good enough for Cardiff or the PL in general. As for DIouf, well... I sure do think you can get much better strikers out there than him for £2.5 - 3 mill.

The difference is Yakubu is a premier league striker.
