Re: The most fickle fans in football!

Woke up this morning feeling really positive about the footballing side of our club for the first time in quite a while. No matter how you look at it, that was a great result yesterday, but more importantly, a top performance. Even though it was only a cup game, its good to finnaly feel positive again. I wouldn't slag malky off, just like I wouldn't slag any of our previous managers off. They've all had a part to play in our clubs history, and now its ole's turn to play his part, and I'm 100percent behind him just like I was with maky. IMO though it was the right time for a change of manager, and even though its still very early days... if yesterday is anything to go by, then we could be in for an exciting second half of the season

In that case we should credit Dave Jones for the win also. He signed some of the players too.

And Daya. He helped sign Declan John.

Funnily enough this is the Cardiff City Forum, not Malky Mackay Forum. I support Cardiff City, not Malky Mackay. Malky's moved on, why don't you.

I'll always respect and than Malky for taking us up but we have to move on. "Sucking up to Ole". Did you honestly say that?

He'd be playing for Gurnos Social Club without Daya the super scout

That information is not correct. The correction is as such,Declan John was a very young boy with a clear talent and SD noticed him playing at Treforest in a Wales Schoolboy game.

He instantly turned to the group of which I was present as my son was also playing and stated who's the right back as that's where DJ was playing, stating " that lads going all the way" he was 13/14 at the time.

What progressed during the match was many scouts and agents present from many London Clubs and Companies including Chelsea, Manchester United,Arsenal started to circulate as we stood on the sidelines, SD listened to what they were saying and it was all about self imposed financial interests more than the boy himself, there was a following " argument " shall we say between the son of Eddie Niedzwiecki who at the time was working for Umbro and feeding players to who his brother your typical wannabe football agent. I can recall SD stating boys of that age didn't require agents and shouldn't be treated as what he regarded as " commodities " at such a tender age.

SD set up a non profitable organisation to protect these boys from the surrounding sharks as he called them, and it worked, we attended running sessions with Jamie Baulch, we received everything free of charge that Agents would use as bait in an attempt to tempt parents, such as nutrients , boots, equipment, and for those who played International Schoolboy football he organised sponsored boot deals for the boys, that's just the short of what he did. Advice and help was always at hand with the correct approach especially when it was tough for the boys especially in times of hardship both mentally, physically and financially, injuries extra private treatment was supplied, released by clubs, other clubs were found and located and the whole group of boys were protected away from the sharks. I recall an international schoolboy game in West Wales to where SD knew of every " shark " attending so what did he do, hired the only private hospitality box for all the parents and boys to protect them away from the circulating hawks. For my son who was at Birmingham FC at the time, we were even supplied a tutor to get him through his GCSE as SD believed education was the most paramount to assist the vast numbers who wouldn't make a living or gain a professional contract. He passed his exams and that was down to SD. No expense was ever spared. Some parents abused what we were given and provided with but that never deterred him. He told us how he never really had the opportunity to get an education and explained how it had hindered himself ever since.

That's just the short of it all, there was far much more so I wouldn't mock on here in relation to what I posted yesterday. I've already had a text " bollocking me " for writing what I did yesterday and just think respect should go where it's due. Let's hope West Ham can come back into this game for him today and he has a happy journey home.

Let's put things into perspective
Malky done a 1st class job,arguably the
best manager in the clubs history, but it a
results game, and how many games have
We won in the last 30,Malky was to defensive
minded and rarely changed the game tactically
during a game with subs,a couple of expensive
Signings have let him down ultimately cost
him his job.
Ole has come in and made changes in his first
game also used the subs to perfection, and the
Players he is looking to bring in are attack minded
if this is a sign of things to come then we got
to be happy with that, rather see us attacking
Than holding out regardless of the result,we have
not won at Newcastle for 51 years we took the
Game to them and come out on top,,,stacks of
bottle from a new young manager, onwards and upwards

Are fans not allowed to appreciate a new young ambitious manager who is far more known than our previous manager thus giving us a better chance of attracting better quality players for a cheaper price whereas under the previous regime we paid far more than we should have for a few players?

To come in on Thursday, get a win on his first game after having one real training session under him at a place we haven't won in 51 years is brilliant, not to mention we played much better than we have for most away trips of the season. We're not fickle at all, why should we continue to sing Malky chants now we have a manager who seems a great media presence and appreciates us fans? Malky will have his pay-off and is now free to join any other club, do as he wishes. Heck we're already getting a new player in under OGS, it's brilliant.

It's safe to say the people hanging onto Malky are the ones who are extremely upset over the re-brand and used him as a shield to push for a return to blue, who cares if he went? It's a hard game and there's no room for sentiment, unfortunately he stuck with the same squad despite saying he'd make wholesale changes, it was a deserved sacking no doubt about it.

It' is totally possible to be thankful and grateful to Malky for everything he did & also get behind Ole & get behind an exciting new era for this club.

Thanks Malky & Come on Ole! :ayatollah:

I will never forget Malky's contribution to our football club and those gleefully slagging off Malky just because we beat Newcastle and you believe Ole has already got us a result Malky couldn't have achieved are fickle and pathetic.

Remember, it was Malky's team that won, Malky assembled this squad, it was Malky's players that beat Newcastle and Malky has got us to where we are! Of course, I will get behind Ole, hopefully Ole will give us an initial lift to get some good results. But how dare some of you dismiss Malky after everything he has done for our football club and the despicable way our lunatic owner has treated him. You should be ashamed of yourselves!

Having supported City for over 40 years i have seen many managers come and go and do you know what, i have supported every single one of them when they have arrived and have continued to do so until results and circumstances have demanded time for change.

I will never forget what Malky did for the Club same as I will never forget Dave Jones who give me one of my greatest moments in football seeing MY team run out in the FA Cup Final something I never thought i would see in my lifetime! Then Malky took us to the Carling Cup Final and got us promoted to the premiership for which I will always be eternally grateful :malky:

So should Malky have been sacked personally I think no but due to the breakdown in relationship between Malky and our Chairman and for the benifit of our team he had to go so we move on and I will now give our new Manager my 100% support until he too moves on which will inevitably happen in time because that's what happens in football.

That's not fickle just fact :old:
