At Southampton he was asked to play at full back and excelled ,he then slowly made his way back forward and is now one of the worlds best attacking players .

Declan John started as a striker in the youth teams before being tried at left back and he has excelled ,his play and control will allow him to move forward in the future and be a top class winger / attacker

Very similar players at this age

Only difference Bale went to a stupid club after Southampton, he then realised they were shit and moved on.

John will settle at his big club.

Only on AAMB is a kid whose played three games or so compared to the most expensive player in the world when he was younger and then described as better than a player who will be Englands left back in little over two years time. A kid who has played 42 games most of which at the highest level.

Started as a forward before being settled back at left back .
Has fantastic pace
Crosses the ball really well

Not scared to shoot from anywhere

I can see young Declan moving up the pitch as Gareth bale did in a year or so when more experienced and leaving the left back slot to become a pacey forward player

We will do well to keep him he is destined for the top IMO :ayatollah:

Big Sam will bring him on !

Aye he'll say things like "See that big lanky cun.t well when he's fit HOOF the f*cking thing up to him. :laughing6:

One game, iv'e watched them a few times this season and he's been quality. Cut above the likes of Gibbs and even Evra nowadays. He'd have played for England a handful of times if he was playing for a bigger club than Southampton.

Ironically whilst Steve clearly likes to play you off and tickle your ribs, are you aware that it was Steve that assisted Declan since around 13/14 years old when he spotted him playing and saw the what you could call " pool of sharks " circling for a feed.

Everything was provided for him to ensure he was kept away from the leeches of the game and continued his footballing path with us.

Your'e right but Shaw has got Cole and Baines ahead of him, they have pretty much tied it up between the two of them the past two years and will go to the World cup. When one is injured they call up Gibbs which makes no sense to me anyway.

Wrong again. Albeit the set up was pretty shit at the time. Not one player was asked to attend Bristol City. 2 lads went to Bristol City after asking and likely to be released and one is now in the first team. This was on the request of the Father who didn't think his lad was going to make it and clearly wasn't at Cardiff, he's now making a good living playing profesional football. That's what happens when you help people Polo and do the decent thing. Probably easier for you to snipe on here though hey about something you know totally f**k all about.

Anyway this is not the place for discussions like this, with it being a messageboard for football fans and football banter !!

how about getting back to that ? your apology would be accepted but more chance of you getting a winner in the bookies
