Every manager close to relegation zone is under pressure. Thats no excuse for Malkys toothless set up and failure in the transfer window.

Out of a squad of 25 he had only about 7 anyway near the quality needed. Thus he played not to lose. All his players. No way has the new manager got an easy task. We dropped from 11 to 17th like a stone. Hard job to correct the slide overnight.

Re: ' Everything on Ole's side '

Annis: Malky left us 3 points above an, as you say it, Awful West Ham team having won 1 in 8 previous games - hardly fills me with encouragement that the 7-1-1 formation he liked to adopt was working...

Just my opinion

If you look at the facts City were very likely to go down under MM. If OGS keeps us up he will have done a great job. He has taken over at a time when we will be playing away to 2 Manchester teams. gIve OGS TIME and SUPPORT and cross your fingers. It almost seems like some MM supporters already want him to fail. Crazy!!

Daft how supportive some people are about Malky. You really should take off those rose tinted specs. Yes, he did a magnificent job getting to a cup final and winning the championship, but that's history. In an ideal world it would have been great to see Malky given a full season to see if he was good enough to keep them up, but this is far from an ideal world. And this season his record was far from special. Rarely winning, rarely scoring, defensive football, boring football, millions wasted on players that didn't play... those are the basic facts.

And Tan is most definitely a knob that's made some bizarre decisions recently, but I do believe that replacing the manager was the correct move for the future of the club. The way the whole situation was handled, mind you, was just disgraceful and I hope the whole debacle has taught all concerned some valuable lessons.

But I for one am seriously excited about this new appointment. If he walks half as well as he talks, Cardiff City under Ole won't have any worries come end of season. As Yazz would say, the only way is up! :ayatollah:

Annis your support of Malky is at best misguided. The football was awful and we were dropping like a stone. We all understand your reasons for hating Tan but please don't put Malky on a pedestal. To say OGS would have to achieve 12th place as Malky would have done the same with the support of Tan is entirely without substance. I will always be grateful to Malky for getting us to the promised land but the Championship was piss poor last season and even then with the support of Tan, the football played by Malky was at best dogged

Understandably the anti-Tan brigade are secretly cursing the appointment of OGS as the spotlight has now been taken off Tan fo the time being at least but please lets not pretend that Malky was doing a good job

Totally agree. Malky was struggling to keep his head above water and reverted to the shit on a stick, negative football that we've witnessed all season. Top bloke yes, top manager not for me.

I def am

I would of expected to have beaten a currently awful West Ham side at home under Malky and so I expect the same under Ole :ayatollah:

I never ever expected to be in the bottom 3 under Malky so dont under Ole :ayatollah:

Ole has more money and no Tan butting in :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I was a Malky supporter who thought he deserved a better crack than he was given.
I wouldn't have expected us to lose heavily at home to Southampton under Malky, but we did.
I wouldn't have expected us to be in the bottom 3 under Malky, but it looked as if we were heading that way.
Malky spent a lot of money, but some of his signings were questionable, particularly Cornelius.
Like it or not (not in my case), he is now an ex City manager, and as I am a loyal supporter, I will give OGS my 100% backing for the time being, and will continue to do so unless it becomes blatantly obvious some time in the future that he is not up to managing at this level. He's done nothing wrong yet, so doesn't warrant any negative comments on this forum.

Solskjaer: I'm in charge -

New Cardiff manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has dismissed concerns over working with owner Vincent Tan, declaring: "I'm in charge".

"I'm very confident in my own ability as a manager and I'm looking forward," said the Norwegian, who has signed a rolling contract and brought former United youth coaches Richard Hartis and Mark Dempsey with him to Cardiff.

"I've had great chats with the owner and Mehmet, the important thing now is that we have good dialogue about how to progress the club.

"That's the key for me now, that we do communicate, Mehmet and I will be speaking very often. I'll be in charge of football matters.
