That's the stumbling block and why it's taking a while to finalise
And he's asked for his pet bird 'Morris' to be flown over, that's what the hold up was.

Throughout he was assisted by his English colleagues, Mark Dempsey and goalkeeper coach Richard Hartis, who he had taken with him from United, and who will doubtless both be joining him shortly in Wales.
As his star rose in Norway, so his name was regularly linked to a return to the Premier League, the place he had long said he wanted to test his managerial credentials. Offers came in, but he turned them all down.
Cardiff, then, might seem an odd choice to spark his ambition, particularly as he rejected Blackburn in 2011 because he rightly feared the unstable club politics could stall his career. After all, this is not the sanest of workplaces: it is not for nothing the bookies are offering odds as low as 3-1 that he will be jobless by the end of the season.
Yet Tan has a fetishistic obsession with all things United, believing association with the club, even in something as tenuous as the colour of shirt or the playing career of the manager, is the best way for Cardiff to unlock the far eastern market.
Solskjaer’s position as a United legend will have facilitated the extraction of all sorts of assurances that were not available to his maligned predecessor Malky Mackay.

Ian Gibson's bookie wrote:It is always aspirational to have a wish list of players to improve our team and subsequently transform our season.
However, I am a little perplexed, who is supposed to supply the cash to transform our current squad?
Am I to believe the fairy godmother in whom we are placing our faith in is Vincent Tan? I thought we wanted him out? Aren't we protesting against him and his eccentric but embarrassing mannerisms. Are we not singing arias about his imminent departure from our club?
I really wish we still played in the blue of the first Scouler team I supported, by the way the shirts had no badge, just bluebirds etched across the chest, I am no Tan apologist
However, I wish we were more consistent and less hypocritical in what we wish for.
We need to support our team and the new man that leads them.
We need to survive in the premier league this season and establish our club as the premier football club in Wales, this is our opportunity. It may never come again.

Hear! Hear!totally agree with this post. I've read for months of the ( understandable) hatred of tan , but the same posters scream about this and that player needs to go and bring in this guy( 8, 9,10, million£)whatever.we are and never will be in a position to bite the hand that feeds us , tans learning I think ( unbelievably speaking of a billionaire I know) . But this is real life and the harsh reality is if he had never come here in the first place , comments would be along the lines of " could've ,would've beat Leeds , QPR with this or that player( £500,000). Believe me he's learning (he's enbarrassed us I know ) but he's learning. Anyway glad it's just not me . Good post again gibbons bookie

Vincent Tan is a traditional Malaysian Chinese businessman who is as shrewd as can be. When he bought into Cardiff, he thought it is just business and little does he know that he not only bought the business, he bought the fans, the patriotism, the blood and tears of the club. He took on the best way he could and start to think how he can turn the club into good business through marketing, hence rebranding. In the course of it, he discovered that having someone screwed you is bad enough but having someone whom you had entrusted to run your team carelessly spend your 50million and scheming is another. But that is history already...he has now realised the whole package that come along with the business. I believed he learned in a very fast manner given that he is a old recalcitrant billionaire. But deep down he is actually a nice guy.
Tan has big plans for CFCC in the Far East and it is inevitable that he is going to spend a awful lot to stay afloat in the Premier League whatever it takes. Watch this space...more news of CFCC in the Far East will come out in due course.
Meanwhile we wait for the official good news.

These are excellent well though out posts. There has been so much trash, some of it bordering on racism written in this forum in recent weeks -a breath of fresh air, thank you! It's simple really isn't it - Don't kill the goose that laid the golden egg!
We've got to work with Tan, we cannot demand this and that, after all he is the owner.
With the appointment of a new manager at the beginning of a New Year surely this is the time to build bridges so that we can all move forward together. For Cardiff City and Wales!!
