In my short career Pompey was quite a hole,home fans converging straight on you.
Worst inside the ground has got to be Blackpool,when the stand had no roof.
And maybe the worst has got to be the first time we went to Wembley built up as the heaven of football,was it ? Builders yard i thought,our mini-bus was even bricked

millwall in the 70,s ''went up and they chased us out of the ground down the steps over a fence into a shed by the home end. i fkg shit myself. one city fan fell on the spiked fence climbing out of the away end and got kicked to fk.

Millwall not sure of the date but i seem to remember it was a Sunday game and City won 4-1 we were separated from the Millwall nutters by a fence topped with barb wire and coppers in between. due to the fact we were 4-1 up we were feeling brave and taking the piss out of the Millwall fans who were going mad and frothing at the mouth

One Millwall nutter was making cut throat gestures and we give him the wanker sign whereby he put his hand inside his crombie and revealed the handle and the blade of a machette Needless to say i shit myself and moved away from the fence a bit sharpish outside after there was mayhem with bricks and stones flying through the air and most of our coaches got bricked at the Elephant & Castle.

Also Anfield in 1977 was seriously scarey and I really was glad to get off the Kop alive.


Ninian Park against Spurs in the FA Cup again in 1977 was really frightening outside the Grange End and the infamous 3-3 draw with Chelsea where there was fighting everywhere.

Probably Wokingham in the FA Cup when Chelsea turned up and chaos and ensued
