A lot of the same people slagging off Cornelius, were slagging off Campbell a few games ago!
Whilst Campbell has always worked his socks off, it's only in the last few games (Mainly since Noone started his run of games for us) that he's started to get any decent service!
By the time Cornelius came on against Sunderland, we'd already taken off our main play makers in Noone & Kimbo, so apart from the one time he had to run against their last defender and goalie, the only service he got was in the air and even though he won several of those aerial challenges, there was no support for him and the ball went straight to an opponent!
Unbelievable the amount of people writing him off so early!

Bad start, but he's not the only one who's had a bad start here. Get behind him ffs!

Well this board accepts all opinions no matter how daft they are.

What's your opinion then?

It's fairly well accepted that most centre forwards are over priced on the transfer market, goes with the position!
Do Cardiff have the equivalent of a 'relocation officer' for new players? - don't forget Cornelius is barely out of his teens, has moved to a new country, presumably leaving friends and family behind, trying to fit into a new club set up, new team tactics, lack of his favourite Danish breakfast cereal etc. Anelka and Robinho (amongst many others) have both shown they couldn't cope with such changes immediately, and sometimes things take a while to settle down.
Given a run in the team who knows? I for one think he should be given a chance.

I have watched every time he has played in first team games or Reserve games and yes its Malky's worst signing, all managers make mistakes and Cornelius was a very expensive one.
Honestly I feel he will not help us stay up in my opinion, but I still feel we would of stayed up without him under Malky.
We now need at least 3 new signings in January 2014.
Agree with most of your statement until the last bit.... "I still feel we would of stayed up without him under Malky", he was a bad signing by malky, there was no way Tan was going to give Malky any more money to piss up against the wall...

Bugger me I'm off to Specsavers for New Years because i don't see what you're seeing mate. Either I need a pair of bifocals or you need to stay off the mushrooms this festive season.

We've got very little chance of a result either way and who knows, he may surprise us.
We'll need as much height as we can, and I think Campbell needs a well deserved rest.

wish everyone would stop doubting him.
Proved his 8m worth with a goal in a challenging game of high importance vs Forest Green

Anyone would think we signed Luis Suarez and wonder why he isn't playing. Everyone needs time to settle in and have a run of games to catch on fire again so let's hope the New manager likes playing attacking football and give him some game time, then at the end of the season if he's still not up to par then we can give him what for as a flop, till then give the guy a break and see what comes..

Arrow wrote:He has been out for months had very little time on the pitch, what would you expect him to be like with the minutes he has had playing so far this season, you cant even say he has had time to show us what he can do yet
He comes on the last 10 minutes, he should at least be chasing down every ball as if his life depends on it, but he just lollops around the pitch making John Parkin look like an Olympic Athlete. No Skill, No Desire, No Good!!!

I'd like to see the new manager play him up front with Campbell and have Mutch feeding, it would be great to see him starting so we have an idea of what he plays like... so far doesn't feel like he's had much of a chance!

Something I've noticed about the prem is the amount of managerial genius that goes into it, in other countries you can get away with a hard working or fluid system but not here, this is something that causes the league to not only be more difficult but different in style. If cornelius was a midfielder he could get away withit like kimbo last year but because he's a striker you expect him to have an instant impact despite all of this and being utterly isolated up top. I agree it was a bad signing, to play in our system we needed someone like lukaku but don't take it out on the lad.

I thought it at cheltenham and i still think he's a donkey. But i dont quite get it, whatever the danish league is like, their international side is not that shit, so he should look a lot tastier than he does. I think he needs a run of starting games to get a feel for our game, and it all might fall into place. But do i want to gamble relegation on it. Dont think so.
