The signs from Malky have been there for a while.
whilst his players had heart and endeavour im afraid,in the prem, you need that bit of star quality.....something Malky wouldnt let his players express.

agree with above, everytime malky played to our strengths we gave teams a right go, as soon as we reverted back to malkys defensive banks of 4 yesterday it cost us. my girlfriend hasnt got a bloody clue about football and she watched it on tv with me and even she said why are they playing so defensive/crap for?! we can't keep playing that way and eventually we would have been right in the scrap for relegation in my eyes.

Would malky have played kimbo yesterday though, somehow I doubt it, Imo we have more chance with a new manager.

Malky Mackays fallout with Tan goes back to the summer transfer window. The end results of that transfer widow make the club a far bigger laughing stock than Tan has.
Odenwinge and Brayford at a total cost of some 5 mill plus. Cornelious 8 mill plus 5 yr contract agents and sign on fees totaling some
20 mill plus. Can anyone agree really that they were good football decisions. It's the managers job to evaluate the transfer fees and advice. Hence the term manager. The Ince signing which never was. The whole close season and transfers were a disaster and the buck stops with the manager usually. When Malky came in there was little if any deadwood to clear out. Not the same for our next one. The three mentioned above wages alone are some £88.000 a week and can anyone honestly see them being in the New man's plans. £63.000
Weren't in Malkys plans and he bought them.
Pumping his fist makes him popular but not necessarily a great manager.

We played the Malky way for the last 20 minutes yesterday and look where it got us, Stoke, Palace, Southampton, Sunderland two points from that lot totally crap, nice guy, good championship manager, premiership no idea !!!!

Carpe Diem wrote:Our football under MM was terrible, we had no flair or attacking prowess. He wasted millions on players not up to this level, leaving us with a threadbare squad lacking in pace throughout.
How this was going to keep us up is beyond me.
This is spot on

I don't think Malky would have kept us up. As for someone buying the team, we've always had problems in this dept as well as many other teams, who's going to spend the cash on a team near the bottom
I'm not for tan but we need to make the best out of the situation and start giving all for the team.

We have not been in the relegation zone all season, now we look like we are going that way.

Not sure whether that is true (
others may shine more light on the subject) and/or if correct whether it would have been a simple investment or a takeover
As I said, these are unconfirmed reports, but would makes sense as to why the 'painter' (sorry, I forget the name) was given such a lofty position, i.e. to keep daddy sweet!

Or maybe it was a kick in the teeth for Moody I.e a student decorator could do your job.... Who knows? He has never sat in Moody's seat though...

i think the change of manager would have come at a good time had it been handled correctly and respectfully. I didn't want Malky to leave, he deserved the full season based on the previous work and successes, but the Cornelius and Brayford transfers are nothing short of an extravagant fiasco reminiscent of Sams overspending on wages many years ago. Add to that his poor substitutions and negative tactics particularly with our centre backs playing a long passing game which they obviously are not good at. So I am not as gutted as I thought I would have been, despite MM keeping us out of the drop zone thus far -just, and if anything at least the new manager will get funds for Jan that MM wouldn't have had, so we may end up with a better manager and better players, win win win?
However, all of this is just a sideshow to the real deal here. I hate what this dictator has done to my clubs colours and heritage, I have had a gutsful of being a big news story every week to be cringed and laughed at, the whole circus represents everything i hate about the gluttony of modern sport. Sky and the PL started all this and it was inevitable that it would attract an ignorant selfish disrespectful business monster like Tan, it just had to be us didn't it?
I have enjoyed being in the prem, but it feels nowhere near like how it should have been, its been a dream of mine. The dream is a nightmare, is it worth all this junk? My season ticket doesn't feel like the best thing in my wallet anymore and that kills me, I haven't stopped going - yet, some friends have, and my God i have even stopped posting on here and CCMB. All down to this egomaniac. All he cares about is him and his people in Asia and the shopping malls they socialise in. Our club is being used as a satellite for his Asian marketing.
He could redeem himself and repair the divide in the fans by returning us to blue, the badge restored and the malaysian flags ripped out and my staying out of football matters. But that fellow bluebirds is bigger than any Premier league dream i ever had.

Mutch was more advanced behind Campbell which Mutch hasn't had the freedom to do.
