Stats don't mean shit. They don't win you games so why they are shown is only for one team to bleat "look how hard done by we were".

He has been tracking Solskjaer's career carefully. I'm massively impressed that Manchester United' reserve and Molde's games are so freely broadcast in Australia. He has a better appreciation of the correct style of play for Swansea than Laudrup viewed from a television screen and he can use statistics to mean anything he wants by simply changing the parameters of reference to show what he wants.
He is also a closet city fan, so attracted to the bright lights, the big crowds, the fervent passion so characteristic of a capital city club. Also, like most managers he only sees what he wants to see.
Anybody, actually present at the ground will have witnessed Cardiff deliberately surrender ground due to poor substitutions after taking a 2-0 lead over a side short of confidence.

We dominated the game and then switched off in the last 15 or so. Then 5 mins of added time appeared from nowhere and they scored a f*cking equaliser.

This will always happen when you let the opposing team come at you again, again, again and again.

For me, the subs should have been made earlier on in the 2nd half when we were 2-0 up.

So Sunderland create more, have more of the ball and in more dangerous areas and you think you should have won simply because their goal came late?

What about Sunderland? What if they booted the ball into touch before each of your goals? What if they didn't allow you to score so early on? What if Altidore decided to tap the ball into an unguarded net rather than take an air shot? Etc etc

The game lasts for 90 mins plus stoppage time. 5 mins in this case which everyone was made aware of. A goal scored late os mo less valid or deserved as one scored early.
