Why would it be anywhere near £4m annis?

He's on what £1m a year 3 years left £3m max and I doubt it's half of that after settlement

I have not actually said he will get the full £4 mill, up to,If Malky wins all the arguments in the battle he will now have with Tan to get his money then Malky could get near that, as two new contracts were made by Tan in the last year upping all Malky's wages/bonuses etc. Malky should win it all and I hope Malky does :malky: :malky:

Had to go in my opinion. 3 wins in 17 games, not scoring goals, boring defensive football, millions spent on players that aren't even getting games and only a point from relegation with a massively difficult fixture list coming up.

Ultimately I believe the decision is correct, but the whole situation has been handled in an absolutely disgraceful fashion.

Malky got what he deserved in the end a up to £4 million pay out :malky: :malky: :malky: :malky:

The way the Puppet Master Vincent Tan has dealt with this whole business, has been nothing but a disgrace in the last 3 months, how he runs his own businesses, I will never know.

Malky had to go in the end as at Palace and Southampton home the pressures from behind the scenes were starting to show and were running through on to the pitch.

Behind the scenes will eventually come out/The Truth always does.

Tan, the quicker you go, the better for our club in my opinion. " TAN OUT "

Who is next? Well I hope he is not a puppet for Tan, watch out for Bellamy being part of the back room coaching staff.

SO WHO IN OUR CLUB WITH FOOTBALL KNOWLEDGE WILL HAVE CHOSEN OUR NEXT MANAGER ? Hmm

I feel you are absolutely wrong on this one. The moaning 500 out of the 22,000 season ticket holders are sulking because they can't get their own way, and want things to be like they were in the old days. The silent majority want the club to move forward, not look back to the 20th Century. The very fact that less than 50 people in the Ninian Stand responded to the "stand up if you want Tan Out" chant on Boxing Day sums it up completely (and 2 of those were 2 nine year olds in the seats in front of me).

I'm not one to tell people what to do, and I respect everyone's right to have their opinion, but the moaning 500 should think seriously about whether they want to continue to support the club, or whether they should go off to form their own club like Man Utd fans did for FC United of Manchester (or whatever they are called).

Don't get me wrong, I don't condone the way Vincent Tan has created this mess, and if he had handled it differently then Malky Mackay would still be our manager. However, having created the mess, he has now had the courage to take the brave decision and gone against the media's wishes (only the media would listen to the views of the moaning 500) and sacked Malky Mackay. You don't get to be a billionaire without having a thick skin and being able to make unpopular decisions.

Football is changing. Billionaire owners and regular sacking of manager's is the FUTURE. Football fans have to adapt to the new ways, and if they don't like it, then they may have to consider if they want to continue to come to games. It isn't going to go back to being like the 80s, never mind the 50s, 60s or 70s. If I can embrace the changes after supporting the club all my life (first game 1967), then why can't others?

You don't have to support Tan, but opposing him is only likely to cause disruption to the team on the field, and I would like to see us remain in the Premier League.

NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO OPPOSE VINCENT TAN - IT IS THE TIME TO SUPPORT THE PLAYERS AND THE TEAM! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Been a Malky fan since he arrived,

pragmatic and built from a solid defence was (and still is) the best way to win league titles.

Have enjoyed some great days out under Malky - the 2:1 win at Fulham was a particular highlight. And having my son with me when we clinched promotion was a night I'll remember forever.

However, those highlights were few and far between in the whole of 2013, even our wins over Swansea & West Brom (great results) were tough watching.

I know we are not Barcelona, or even Everton or Newcastle, but I'd love to see us to have a go in some of our matches.

Yesterday was a tipping point for me.

Playing 2 clones up front was baffling - they make the same plays, the same runs, etc

And I'm getting tired of the Whittingham apologists on this board - he was hopeless on the left, missed a sitter, then gave the ball away that led to their first goal.

SO what did Malky do, move our most offensive (and lets face - we havent got that many) thinking player (Mutch) out to the wing, to accommodate Whittingham in the centre - where he continued to pussy about.

The one thing I hope any new manager who comes in does, gives every player a chance on their merit, not that of their reputation from 2 years ago - so the likes of Whittingham, Odemwingie, Gunnarson, etc will have to start from scratch and work their bollocks off to show they deserve their place.

The final disappointing thing from yesterday, was how long we waited to make subs - the game was lost after 25 mins, but still we waited till half time, then brought on a LB (ffs) and then Kim too late in the day to make any difference.

So, I thank you Malky, you truly were one of the best coaches we've had down the city (after Eddie May for me) but it was time for both of us to make our own ways in 2014 - hopefully we can both be successful, but if not, so be it. I'll still be there like the last 35 years.

Nothing against the man but £4million is a fair whack of cash out of the club's coffers.

My thoughts exactly, will he get £4 million and can walk straight into a new job???

It should only be on the basis of not taking a job and paying back a percentage if he does otherwise there is massive incentive in getting the sack ??? Maybe that's how it works ???

That's a fair point and it should apply in all walks of life

Thanks Malky, for finally delivering the Premier League but the hard graft, organisation, and reliance on set plays that got us up is not enough at Premier level. Putting aside the whole rebrand debate, isn't this now an opportunity now for us to bring in a more tactically astute coach ? Lets see some SEXY FOOTBALL from City.

Agreed m8, he seemed to stumble on Mutch/Gunnar & Kimbo - even without the wins at the tail end of last season - it looked a lot more fluid and offensive looking midfield.

I aint seen a lot of Cornelius to make the opinion on here that so many have already - but thats exactly it - we havent seen enough of him...... maybe now he gets a run and then we can all see if he's got what it takes.

Yes but playing with an overrun midfield containing a passenger will never illustrate his ability. Midfield will be forever driven back and unable to deliver quality ball to him. With a midfield and LB like we had yesterday Messi, Suarez, Cruyff or Gerd Muller would have struggled!
