Re: " Sadly the fight looks like its lost by Malky Mackay "

Cardiff - Cardiff manager Malky Mackay was back on the hot seat after his side was thumped by Southampton 3-0 in the English Premier League on Thursday.

A pair by Jay Rodriguez and another by Rickie Lambert, all in the first half hour, helped Southampton cruise to its first victory in seven games.

Fans of the visitors chanted to Mackay, "You're getting sacked in the morning," and he couldn't defend himself in the face of a woeful display.

Cardiff owner Vincent Tan wanted Mackay out last week, but after Mackay vowed to stay and was backed by team fans, club chairman Mehmet Dalman said on Sunday that Mackay was "in charge for the forseeable future."

However, Cardiff supporters were booing Mackay and the team by fulltime on Thursday, not that Tan might have heard. He left his seat five minutes before time.

I can honestly say this was one of the very few times our players under Malky looked like they had not turned up for the match.

3 nil is a fair score line, We could have scored 2 or 3 goals, but then Southampton could of won 6-3.

We were not outclassed, we looked like we had no desire, we looked clueless for 70 minutes of the 90 minutes.

Yes it will just be a matter of time before we say goodbye to Malky, but please Malky take that Dictator Tan with you.

I have been told when we went 3 nil down, Tan left the Directors box, beaming with a smiling face, is it True ? I hope not.

I saw Gary Medal outside the stadium at 2pm and he was not playing through illness, I knew then we had lost one of top 5 players at our club, which would mean the task was even going to be harder for City today.

Will Malky be here for Sunderland home on Saturday ? Will Tan pay Malky off and do what owners should do Sack and pay off your Manager if your not Happy with them.

Well Done to all those who protested from 1pm-2pm outside the Stadium. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

hate tan but when we went three nil down you could clearly see he was livid. he bounced down the steps of one side, had a rant and then started to go down the other side but decided to talk to security instead. i think malky's days are numbered.

Annis, I've always backed Malky, but another performance like that against Sunderland and I think I just might change my mind. January is a nightmare in terms of fixtures, a difficult several weeks for Cardiff fans forthcoming.

Some "fans" need to realise what shower of sh*t this manager is serving up!

2 wins in 12 - how's that Tans fault??

£50+ million over 2 seasons and he still has no answer for a team that hadn't won in 6 games!

WAKE UP - Malky is a good championship manager at best!

Looks like Southampton made the correct decision last year although I forgot how cut adrift the bottom 2 were.

Hope so. Malky is a 2bob chancer! Plays the media well. Plays the fans well, but absolutely limited as a manager at this level in my book. He needs to go and manage a mid table championship team, cos thats his level in my opinion. Looking at todays performance, don't even think the players want to play for him. Tan needs to get rid of him now. Got fukall to do with the pressure put on malky by tan... Every manager is under huge pressure in the premier league, and Malky has used it to his advantage and played a publicity blinder, taken the heat off himself by acting the victim. But the simple fact is, hes not up to the job by a long way, and i bet there wont be many other premier league clubs cueing up to employ him after he leaves us. RANT OVER

You're both right in my opinion.

Today we were outclassed, out fought and the players looked like they'd rather have been at home with their feet up.

Worrying times ahead with a horrific series of fixtures in January.

Basically he has a squad made up largely of mediocre championship players, He should have done an awful lot better for his money (sorry Tan's)

Malky Mackay refuses to resign and insists his team are where he thought they would be

Soon after his team were beaten 3-0 at home to Southampton, Malky Mackay remained resolute and says his team are in the correct Premier League position

So many disparaging comments on here last week for anyone not supporting Malky, it became pointless pointing out anything about the consistency of performances or results achieved this season. More on here changing their tune tonight having seen today's performance. Malky needs to go, a new manager appointed and more money spent more wisely on better players. Staying up and doing reasonably this season is probably the fastest way to get "Tan Out", once he's realised a decent profit and sold on to a new owner.

I wonder if the fans chanting pro Malky songs were the same ones booing at the end? The club continues to be mired with drama and politics which is completely overshadowing our first season in the top flight.

Poor showing today all over park today, it's just a matter of time for Malky now. It needs to happen soon to allow the new manager to recruit (if able to) and save us from the championship next year!

Probably the most factual 'post' so far regarding Tan's movements and actions before half-time. He was absolutely livid when the third goal went in and paced (as it says above) up and down both sets of steps, before saying something to (I think) was Steve Borley and then someone at the end of one of the rows to his left as he was sitting. He then went back to his seat briefly before storming off into his den ;)

I am not defending Tan or his prior actions here; far from it. However, he looked as unhappy at events on the pitch as the paying Cardiff fans did and TBH that, to me, was fair enough because the team were shite today...and I don't often criticise them even when they lose...

Whose fault? Malky's? Tan's? The players?

Hmm, after events in the last week or so, I am beginning to believe they are ALL culpable and need to take long hard looks at themselves IF we are to ride the current storm and get back to the REAL matter in hand...erm, Cardiff City FC on the pitch!

For the first time today, I genuinely thought to myself that it wouldn't be too much of an issue anymore IF Malky did go, as I think he has helped create/engineer a lot of the poor coverage we have had this week...

Only ONE reason for that in my eyes; to engineer 'the sack' which will ensure he gets his pay-off before moving on!

Sorry, but I cannot see why else a manager would be so openly 'goading' his owner with statements made by him

Hurts me to say, but this needs to be sorted out...

BACK HIM IN JANUARY WITH PLAYERS OR SACK HIM NOW!

If you take the emotion out of it then you'll clearly see that we are in the premiership because of tan and his money and not because of a miracle working manager. If you spent millions of pounds would you expect more for your money?
