It'd be better for City if he went now!

I don't think he's got our interests at the forefront of his thinking any more. I think he feels he's missing out on a job he fancies and is trying as hard as he can to get sacked.

Malky's going down in my estimation now and not fully appreciating the support he got Saturday.

Wouldn't you want to force the issue so that you know if you are going to be in a job or not..? Come on be realisitic the man wants to know whats happening with his own job and anyone else would want to know the same.

Thing is non of us really know the full story but we jump on the Tan out - save Malky bandwagon.

What if something more sinister went on with the Moody episode. Maybe there were one or two issues that came to light which forced Tan to sack him. It wouldn't be the first time in professional football transfers that something unusual happened.

Just seems to me that Tan might not be the only devil in all of this.

We could be left looking right mugs if Malky holds out and brings us all down with him. How much does he care about CCFC and how much does he just care about Malky?

Sorry but the moment Tan sent Malky that email then he deserves everything he gets in my book. Surely its common sense that anyone else who would receive such an email from their employer would use it to strengthen their position and I for one don't f*cking blame him!!! :malky:

It's good the club says malky is safe as our manager but until it comes from tans lips then i don't believe he's safe.
They have to get together to sort this mess out.

Yeah but wouldn't you want a club owner to comment on how well or not a manager is doing. Try looking at it another way.

Malky's team is playing crap football. He keeps playing players who aren't up to the task (Cowie). He doesn't play players we've bought in the summer. We get one point from two way games that we should have targeted for six. He didn't change things when it was obvious after 15 minutes that we could have stuffed Stoke. He causes a lot of ill feeling when the owner removes his mate (true reason not yet known).

I don't particularly want Malky sacked but managers get the boot all the time in football, just look at what happened at Spurs and they were close to top 5 at the time.

Finally loads of people are laying the blame on Tan for the email and treating Malky badly. My money would be on Malky making that public to get fans on his side.

What seriously worries me is that some of our fans can't think for themselves and will keep calling for Tan out until he goes (some of the chants on Saturday went beyond our usual humour and into the offensive).

Tan upping sticks will leave us right in the crap.

We might be on your target!

I want more for my team than being just above a relegation spot, with our club in turmoil and playing pretty crap football. I get fed up with fans who claim we should be satisfied with mediocrity. Where the hell is our ambition. I'm not expecting Champions League like some idiots on the forum before the season started but can't we stop this 'on target' business. Every time I see that it makes me think the posters have no real desire for CCFC success.

Tans the only one who could have written it. He's the Owner. If this email business hadn't come to light and we'd lost our next two games, loads of fickle fans would be questioning why the owner wasn't sending the manager an email like that.

Let's turn yet another post where people state other opinions into a bit of a personal slating.........

You shouldn't start a post if you don't want opinions that conflict with yours.

I've played football for Wales and captained my country.....

And as for where we should be now.... Possibly another 5 points away from relegation for starters.

Is oppose the next comments will include:

We'll always be blue (well unfortunately we ain't) or Tan out (which interestingly he ain't)

Lol

Googles definition of the word decline:

2. politely refuse (an invitation or offer).

"Caroline declined the coffee"

synonyms:

turn down, reject, brush aside, refuse, rebuff, spurn, disdain, look down one's nose at, repulse, repudiate, dismiss, forgo, deny oneself, pass up, refuse to take advantage of, turn one's back on

;)

Mehmet said Saturday night to the press that he was arranging the meeting for next Friday.
Tan is still a joke but that's the fact of the matter but nice to see Malky getting a bit of pay back

So that was already said for next friday then why did Malky then ask for a meeting today or tomorrow.? They were in the same stadium on Saturday FFS!!!

Adam

They have been in the ccs together for the last three months and have never spoken. I got to admit the fickleness of our fans amaze me at times.
After the palace game walking back to the coaches there was only talk of sacking Mackay because of the performance against them and stoke.
If we had lost against west brom most fans would have accepted he would have to go. Did you notice the don't sack Mackay chants only started when we scored against west brom

Steve, we all sang "don't sack mackay" in the pubs and the concourse pre palace. We gave it some in the early part of the game but agreed it soon stopped and was plenty of mixed discussions on route to the bus!

If something sinister has gone on then VT would have sacked him so you can put that excuse away

Furthermore we are protesting for the return of our history pride and identity

We all know one person isn't bigger than the club and people for whatever reason are realising VT is taking the piss, whether they are against the rebrand, against the way we are totally overlooked, or the way Malky and the entire CCS staff are treated by VT alone

See you all 1pm Boxing Day

I am still certain we will not see Tan at the stadium on Boxing day but unlike a certain poster I hope I am proved wrong and he mans up, but not holding my breath. Will be at the protest though 100%.

Re: So Tan has refused to meet Malky twice since yesterday!!

Malky Mackay has warned the civil war at Cardiff City could cost the club its Premier League status.

Mackay remains in charge of the Bluebirds despite receiving an ultimatum from controversial owner Vincent Tan to resign or face the sack.

The Scot admitted he expected to be relieved of his duties over the course of the weekend, but instead was given a reprieve of sorts by chairman Mehmet Dalman, who said Mackay would be in charge for the "foreseeable future".

That statement did include the caveat that there would need to be a thawing of relations between owner and manager, but Mackay remains in charge for now at least, with home games against Southampton and Sunderland looming.

But when asked if the current situation could have an effect on whether Cardiff - which is 15th in the Premier League table, four points clear of the relegation zone - stays up or not, Mackay said: "Absolutely. You cannot have your dirty linen washed in public every week of the year without it affecting the club.

"I am not saying it immediately effects the players as that's my job to protect them.

"They are a great group of people that focus entirely on themselves, their profession and their want to stay in this league.

"My main focus is a steely determination that I and my staff make sure that everything is done to protect them and make sure that we have got the best chance we have of staying in this league.

"But, as I've said before, I feel sorry for our fans. They have been dragged through the front pages of newspapers instead of back pages and they should be really, really enjoying this league this year.

"I would hope at some point soon common sense will prevail."

Mackay, Dalman and Tan have yet to meet for critical talks, with the manager claiming his request to hold discussions have twice been rejected and that there is unlikely to be any dialogue until the end of the week.

Re: So Tan has refused to meet Malky twice since yesterday!!

Tue Dec 24, 2013 12:39 am

There are always 2 sides to a story.
At the moment, we are only hearing (constantly) one side. Malky's.
The owner has not said a single word. None of us truly know what's gone on or what has been said by either party, yet you have everyone jumping on the bandwagon blaming Tan for everything. Perhaps Carl could write a nice piece on it? I doubt it.

The leaked email was clearly made public to manipulate the story for Malky's own advantage and he was quick to get his face in front of camera to state he wanted to meet Tan but this was not possible.
I can only presume Tan's spat with Malky was more than a single email and has indeed rumbled on long before even Moody had his marching orders. What did Malky say to Tan? Nobody knows. Certainly not Rogers or any of the other pundits chipping in stirring shit.

None of us know anything until it all comes out of the wash much later.
As for refusing to meet, has anyone been told officially by Tan what his movements are? Perhaps he has already decided on Malky's replacement? So therefore does not need or want to speak to him. Until I hear directly from Tan or City officially, I'll remain open minded on the whole sad affair before appointing any blame.
One thing is clear though. If Tan is unhappy with Malky and wanted to replace him because of ANY reason (performances or over spending it doesn't matter) then considering his business experience, I'm surprised this whole matter was not dealt with a lot better and behind closed doors. Putting anything in writing is just plain stupid.

One day we'll hear the truth on who said what to whom and when.
People have selective memories when it comes to Tan. Rebrand rebrand rebrand and not we wouldn't have got promoted without the investment in the team, the stadium, the training facility or even the charity donation.
If it comes out that indeed Tan has been a cnut all along and Malky is the Saint you all (but a few) seem to portray him as then Malky will be better off in pasteurs new anyway.
