Ah yes I counted the goals in all competitions.

6 goals from open play in 17 Premier league games is correct though.

Thats stat isnt correct either, Roathie.

Either way, its no secret we dont create or score enough, i dont care for disecting it into two different catergories as they count the same.

You said we had scored 6 from open play in 16 goals in all competitions.

That is NOT correct.

 we have just established that haven't we? I already told you I tallied all the games when counting the games up.

The stat was 6 goals in 17 Premier League games from open play. Which is correct.

Didn't realise that scoring a goal from a set piece was so terrible. We don't create enough, but goals are goals. :thumbright:

You don't drop points for scoring lots of set pieces.

I dont think anyone is saying it is, it just goes to show though if we could score more from open play we could become a bit of a team with goals from set peices as well to chuck in. To me though I do feel we are for the most defending in the hope of getting a set peice goal.

The only stat that truly counts is that we're 4 points above the drop :malky:

Even more shocking that it wasnt from open play again. Which means you are now well over 500 and counting - was the last goal you scored a set piece too?

So are you saying that set piece goals don't count?
Perhaps we should not be given the points against scumsea town as that came from a corner?
Although I didn't notice the jerks have much of an effort at our goal.

What about Scumsea's hoofball tactics (goal against Norwich) or the amount of og's they seem to have. IS og still their top scorer? Even yesterday Tiendalli missed the target from 6 yards, but it deflected in.

True but I would have been happy if you had told me at the start of the season that we would be in this position at Christmas.

Even after spending £50m

Yes, I dont think anyone can deny being 4 points ahead of relegation zone at the halfway stage is a job well done so far.

However, that doesnt mean you cannot be concerned with what the future brings, especially given our lack of goals / creativity.
