A forum for all things Cardiff City
Sat Dec 21, 2013 8:30 pm
Just got back home. What a day. Felt so depressed on the journey up, but when we get together like today there is no experience like being with the City faithful. Never felt prouder to be Cardiff. The players came out early for the second half, I have no doubt one of the players turned to the others and said "We are letting Malky down". We won the second half and the players deserve medals for producing that performance at a time of such tension. And at the end Brendan Rogers, who fair play has been exceptional to us in the lead up to this game, embraced Malky and sent him over to the fans. If you never thought there was such a thing as the football family, think again. Even the bloody ref embraced him. The police were on our side, the stewards were on our side. It was the most extraordinary day. When the last player had gone down the tunnel he came across to see us, and I know I'm not the only one who couldn't control the tears. And we stayed and sang and sang and sang. And the Liverpool fans joined us in the singing, and outside the ground they were coming up to us and showing their support. We won a few friends in football today. Every Cardiff fan who went today sang from their souls and were amazing ambassadors for our great club, I salute everyone one of you.

From a Newport County Fan, this means a lot
David Sullivan
braught a tear to my eye watching cardiff fans at liverpool -- you have the passion annis , you have the numbers , take it forward and do what you need to do for your club -- theres to much passion down city for tan to win , hes made a big cockup and hes lost face . the club is as strong as its fans annis and no fans are more passionate than cardiff -- respect and good luk to you

Reminds me of the 'Clemo out' protests at Ninian Park, Cardiff fans becoming as one.

Brilliant day.

Awesome support from the Bluebirds fans today, very emotional at end of game, actually saw grown men in tears at end of game.
Malky, pure class as always, I have to mention Liverpool fans who showed huge respect with applauding a few of our chants, also spoke to a few later who thought our support was superb and commenting that Tan would have to be stupid not to understand now.

Awesome. The chanting after the game and Malky coming over was something special

To me the match was second to what was going on off the pitch today .
Our fans went to Liverpool today in their thousands wearing their Blue, they sang their hearts out for Malky and the team.
Our fans united in their songs against Tan and in support of Malky, once again it shows me that the ones who constantly dig on this forum are out of touch with those who actually go to the games.
For forty five after the match finished our fans stayed behind singing 'Don't sack Mackay'. The feeling was unbelievable and I felt proud to be at one with each of those fans, as we left the stadium the Liverpool fans clapped us and many came up to us telling us to feel proud and snot sell your heritage and don't ever give up.
As to the game the difference in class in the first half was massive and shows that we got a long way to go.
Liverpool went in deserving of their 3-0 score line at half time.
The second half Malky's Trojans had thirty minutes of the game and deserved to win the second half 1-0.
Liverpool 3-1 Cardiff City, am I upset by the result ?
NO I am not.
I left the ground a proud fan of my team and manager.
Can the fans do this again Boxing Day ?,WEAR YOUR BLUE and sing your hearts out again and at the same time let dictator Tan know how we feel and that we are really a proud a club

Proud today.
If only we'd shown half that resolve when Tan first took over we'd still be wearing blue with our bluebird emblem

This is football!
Finally CCFC stands up! City fans were as one yesterday. Best protest is a spontaneous one! There is nothing else that could be done better from the City supporters yesterday.
It felt as it should be!

Have been a lurker on this forum but decided recently to sign up. Am an exiled valleys boy but Liverpool have always been my first team but have always supported Cardiff. So being there today was special for me and by the numbers wearing Liverpool scarves etc I wasn't the only one. But I was 100% a bluebird today and so glad we played in blue. And today demonstrated why I always prefer away games. Being among 3000 singing bluebirds is always a great experience and yesterday's atmosphere and support for the team and Malky of course beat West Ham a few years ago (battle of the veg game?). Will be home for the West Ham game next but am looking forward to the 2 Manc games in January. Just hope Santa brings me tickets. And who knows, perhaps Malky will still be Manager. Miracles do happen but can a Tan change his spots?

Your fans were simply superb yesterday and the support for the team and Malky was the best at Anfield in years, never mind this season. I just hope that the little poisoned dwarf Tam doesn't dismiss Malky prior to your Boxing Day game when you can take the protest to another level. Best of luck for the rest of the season but firstly in getting rid of Tan.
Unite as one and hopefully be victorious in sending him packing.

Here goes:
Before I start, forget the red shit, forget the blue shit, forget the badge........at this moment in time they are all irrelevant.
We have a bigger fish to fry! And I've never been so proud in 34 years.
We've spent a year and a half talking about tipping points. Colour of the shirt? Bluebird in the badge? Debt to equity? Cardiff Dragons name change? etc and the list goes on!
Watching that video reminded me who we are........and deep down we all know it. WE ARE Cardiff, WE are BARMY, WE'RE off our f*cking heads!
I, along with many others, reluctantly accepted the change of colour.......the reason being it was for the greater good IMO. But there is always a tipping point with a reluctant acceptance.......and I feel that the scales have swung, not because I go along with the crowd, the guys who know me on this forum understand I am a maverick who normally flies in the face of popular opinion!
Tan must go, the sooner the better.
I thought the support shown to Malky today was immense, but even more it was 2 fingers to the high waisted trouser bloke (i forget his name).
Now is the time to unite.....under one guise, namely Cardiff City Football Club.
