I've said in a previous post that this is purely a business venture for VT, he has no particular love or bond to the club, it is about money and nothing else. He is a successful business person, and knows all about the harsh realities of trying to succeed in a competitive environment. Malky is just an employee as far as the owner is concerned, and I know from experience that most CEO's/owners etc. rarely show any loyalty to their employees, they are employed to serve a purpose and can in most cases easily be replaced. Unfortunately, businesses are all about profitability, and you can be sure that Tan's interest in our football club is more linked to finance rather than sport. I honestly believe that he has very limited experience of British football culture, and how we feel. Also, I believe that due to his business background, he doesn't particularly care how we feel, but needs to remember who his customers are and where a large part of his revenue comes from. If he messes around with the club too much, he may well have a rare business failure on his hands. I think Malky will almost certainly be on his way out before long, as there is no way a business can succeed if there is a problem between an owner and one of his key employees.

He's trying to engineer his exit instead of focusing on Cardiff City, in my humble opinion.....

I think Malky Is doing the right thing and should stand strong.

He is the best man to keep us up, it is his squad, he bought them and has managed them well so far this season. :malky:

He will keep us up and then can move on to a bigger club at the end of the season, Tan can then appoint the replacement if he is still available, or move on to the next best choice. :ayatollah:

Will that happen though ??? I doubt it somehow !!!

Mackay won’t walk away from Bluebirds
Wednesday, December 18, 2013

Cardiff boss Malky Mackay says he has “too much passion and pride” to walk away from the club despite finding himself on the end of more criticism from the club’s controversial owner Vincent Tan.

Tan hit out at Mackay through club chief executive Simon Lim, who said Tan was “extremely upset” that the manager had gone public with his desire to strengthen his squad in January.

It is the latest setback in the relationship between Tan and Mackay, which first came to a head in October when Tan removed one of Mackay’s closest allies, head of recruitment Ian Moody.

Tan’s latest outburst alluded to an alleged £15 million overspend during Cardiff’s £50m summer transfer dealings — and the Malaysian tycoon added that Mackay would not be receiving “a single penny” to strengthen the squad in January.

Mackay said: “I will certainly not be resigning from my post. I’ve got too much passion and pride in the job I’ve got here. It’s a job that’s three-quarters done as far as I’m concerned in terms of making Cardiff a sustainable Premier League team. It is my duty to make sure we continue to do that and it would be wrong of me to walk away from a job because our owner doesn’t want to give me money in January.”

Mackay added: “I know the task in hand over the next few months and my driving force and only focus is on making sure this team competes as well as we can in this league and we give ourselves the best fighting chance.”

Have you thought that it may be Malky that's engineering an exit. He's had £50m (with add ons) and not spent it wisely and struggling. He wants more in January (Good money after bad), and the owner who is shelling this lot out is not having it, and neither would most owners. Many managers have been sacked for less.....
So Malky keep the fans on-side, whips up the easily lead fans in their dislike of Tan (because of the shirt change not the £100m he's put in) by swearing undying loyalty to the team. It will only lead to one thing...Malky gets sacked with a £3m cheque.
Malky going is one thing, Tan going is a disaster....the gobby brain dead can't see that though. MInd you some nice near away fixtures in the future, Hereford, Forest Green......
