Totally agree. It was a good brave header from Whitts but he still isn't performing well enough. If Kim played instead of Whitts we would have had the extra engine, work rate and creativity to probably slice West Brom open to win 3 or 4 nil.

Very poor yesterday but scored a great goal. Malky is stuck in two minds at the moment as he doesnt want to drop Whitts cause of his set pieces but cant play him in the middle when we're playing 4-4-2. He just doesnt have the pace to play outwide either

How are they the same thing? A player could have the engine to get around the pitch, but not have the attitude or work rate to bother using his engine to full effect! A player could easily have the engine to get around the pitch, but duck out of a 50/50 tackle, so therefore doesn't have the work rate. I will use Bothroyd as an example. You could say Bothroyd had a decent engine drifting wide, picking up the ball and running at players, but he only did that when he wanted to. Why? Because he didn't have the work rate. Having a good engine and having a good work rate are completely different things.
