Sorry, but he's on contract. Bad luck chaps.

Very good championship player, don't think he could make the step up though.

That's the problem with you lot isn't it. Get promoted and no cahmpionship players are good enough. How do you know without given them the chance to prove themselves. Palace are and look at them.

Problem with you all is you knock players without given them a chance.

What are you on about?? Most of our team that play every week are championship players from last season. When you get promoted to the Prem you have to bring in some quality to supplement what you already have. Our newbies who play each week are Theophile-Catherine, Caulker, Medel and sometimes Odemwingie, so contrary to what you say we are giving lots of championship players a chance to prove themselves.

The problem with you is you want to get your facts right.

Personally I'm pleased that Conway is doing well for you but your love-in with him is misplaced because should you buy him from us and should you get promoted this season you will do exactly what we did and loan him back to a championship club because, as others have said, he is a championship player.

As for Palace.....didn't they bring in about 16 new players? And they are still below us anyway so I don't see the relevance of your comment. :ayatollah:

Conway is an honest, hard working footballer who is fortunate to be Scottish and get the odd international appearance as a bonus. I like his never say die attitude, his tracking back and the fact that he is willing to have a shot, but in my opinion he lacks the pace to trouble the majority of premiership defenders. Malky knows that but has given him the chance to go out and get some first team football and who knows he may come back a better player for it, but I think his long term future is elsewhere. I think he is a high end championship player at best and he has found his level because for all his ability and he undoubtedly has some, you can't learn pace if you haven't got it.

Christ, malky doesn't pick the winger we already have in the squad, (noone) so why add another????

Re: ' Craig Conway return '

He cant play for us until January as others have stated. if Malky doesnt think he is good enough at the start of the season then Id be even more worries if he thinks he is come January when we should be adding to the squad.

Reading the above thread about Malky not having any money in January then do you think Conway will be in the 25?

We really need him back here. His final game is Saturday then he retuns to you. Our wingers are so injury prone that Conway has helped us to where we are today 3 pts outside the play offs.

Fingers crossed that he returns in January and isn't he out of crontract in the summer so can't see you asking for a fee.

I'm not too sure when his contract is up but malky has stated before that he won't let players run their contracts down after the mess that he inherited when he came to the club, who knows

If you did ask a fee then if it's true he's out of contract then it wouldn't be much you'd want.

Just have to see how it pans out in January.

im confused.

He isnt in our original 25 man squad, so why didnt we agree to let him go to you on loan till Jan? now hes going to have 3 or 4 weeks of no games before either playing for us again, or going back out on loan.

Doesnt really make sense to me.

He could be in the 25 man squad in January and as his form is getting better week in week out then who knows. You're not the manager so you don't know what he's thinking.

As you've no money to spend in January then surely Malky will keep all his options open and that includes the loan players they let out.
