The language os very much of "we have to do whats best for the club" and saying that they have "already backed him with money" recognising the club have spent the 7th highest amount in the premier league.. When drawn on the future he says "we will see how things go".

"As a board, our responsibility is to support the club - the club is the focus," he told Perform.

"I think if Malky were stood here he would agree we've already given him quite a lot of support when we were in the Championship when he came in.

"The owner of the club, Vincent Tan, has pumped in quite a lot of money over the last year - I think we were the seventh-highest spenders in the transfer market (in the close-season), just above Manchester United.

"So from that perspective, we are fully committed to the amount of money we have available, and of course in the future we will see how things go.

think its more you plucking statements out of context! tat way can sound completely different :laughing6:

Where was it put of context? Am i missing something.

The only backing hes given to malky in that whole statement is the sentence, "at the end of the day we are here to support the club... Including the manager"

Everything else is saying how much money they have given him and how the club is the priority.

Asked specifically what funds might be available to bolster the squad in the next transfer window, Dalman insisted that it would be down to Mackay to draw up his list of potential targets first.

"I hope (there will be money available)," he added. "We haven't had that discussion. It really is something the manager has to decide.

So basically no list of targets have been drawn up and we don't know whether money will be available.
"We haven't had that discussion".

The transfer window is getting ever nearer I would've thought all this would've been sorted by now.

When is this interview from? Makes no mention of current form, and just seems to match some comments he made a week ago.

BUMP

Told you that this statement wasnt a backing but a paving the way for the opposite. The words and rhetoric of the statement were all about doing the best for the club and past tense statements.

That was my last username btw

I really wish people would start to read what I say as opposed to listening to the propaganda and calling me a wind up. Seems every opinion i was banned for over the last 6 months is now the general opinion of everyone.

Annis you weren't the only one being told that Malky was getting the chop, I heard exactly the same but like you say thankfully it seems that Malky has got the backing and I am glad, we need to unite behind our manager and see this season through to its end with a common goal between us all, survival :ayatollah:

looks like we all fell for it carl
