Who had ten men all game. the home leg for you lot was a fairer result.

So you agree that they're PL quality, then. Also, we're PL quality, so your comment about the EL being made up of sub-standard teams is clearly wide of the mark

It is. You played one team who are at a fairly decent level & beat them when they had 10 men and lost at home in the other leg.

You haven't managed to play well against the shitty teams either.

Bony has disappointed. You obviously don't want to admit it, but for that sort of money - he's flopped. :laughing6:

I can't dispute that he hasn't performed as well as we'd hoped, but then some players take time to settle. Giroud last year was poor, Soldado (for £26m I believe) has been a disaster, so I'll reserve my judgement for a while. We're fortunate that we have other players who can step up to the plate and, despite injuries, we've still managed to be mid-table. Once our injuries clear and we're out of Europe I'm sure we will kick onwards and upwards. After today, can you say the same?

Which is exactly my point. You're the one who started bringing up Cornelius - well your situation with Bony is very similar.

We played poorly today. We've played well in other games. Exactly the same could be said for Swansea. :thumbright:

No - our situation with Bony is completely different. Bony was brought in as a proven goal scorer in his league over a number of years. He was brought in to a team who already had a player who'd scored 20-odd goals in the PL in the previous season. Malky' s put all his eggs in one basket - Cornelius. He's brought him in as the main goal scorer into a team who had a top scorer last year (in the Championship) with, I believe 8 goals. That's the difference! If Bony doesn't't score we still have players who can cut the mustard at this level. Do you? Campbell is being hailed as a world beater, but let's be honest, he couldn't even get into a poor Sunderland side.

Laudrup has done EXACTLY the same. All his eggs in Bony's basket.

Not at all. We already had a team that could score goals at this level. You didn't

The situations are not the same at all. Swansea were scoring plenty before Bony came along.

Another thread derailed and turned into a Swansea/Cardiff "EPIC BANTZ" slanging match you would usually find in any primary school in Port Talbot.

Nope. You needed a striker too. The jacks have spent the last year on here telling us how michu isn't a striker. Don't ruin all their hard work.

Applauded the greatest ever player to come from the club and it's academy. I'd say you could do the same, but you've not created any players of note. :laughing6:

So he was the record transfer fee for a Welsh player, was he? Oh, wait a minute, that was one of ours!

So did bale play for you? Oh wait he was from CARDIFF...... Funny that .... Another fail for the jacks

Ok, if you want to play the semantics game, simply substitute the word "goalscorer" for "striker"

Re: Ex-players

Surely you are missing the point that bony has scored 10 goals this season. Not sure if your whole team have scored that many. Lets be honest if it wasn't for your keeper playing some blinders earlier in the season and the odd goal from corners you would be cut adrift at the bottom. Your open play has to be the poorest in the league.

& if your auntie had bollocks, she'd be your uncle.

The whole point of having a keeper is to save things. Hasn't anyone told you that? :laughing6:

Bony has scored 4 in the premiership. One less than our player, who cost 25 times less. :laughing6:

Poorest in the league - yet you still couldn't win or even score against it.

As I've pointed out already, majority of his goals have come from the sub standard opposition you face in the second string European trophy.

The one decent team you faced in that group & you had one more player.

Is ANYBODY bugging him up like they did Michu? Tells it all.

Im more than happy with him. Took a while to settle and has hardly played 90 min in the league. But like a few others notably shelvey, canas and pouzeulo they are really starting to find their form and confidence. Thats the encouraging thing about our season, despite playing nowhere near our best and in a few games namely at your place , stoke first half and west ham where we were truly shocking we are still mid table and dont look in any trouble of relegation.
