Enjoyed my trip County actually. Atmosphere v good for 2800 crowd but helped by great performance and good Pompey following - that bloody bell though. Pompey sound a bit like Palace with their singing rather than proper old school support. Decent numbers though for Tues night.

Stood on terrace at side and it was like being on Bob Bank! Decent old fashioned ground. 10 quid for me and 5 for my son but it's more for league games.

Some fans on here will prob be shocked, but I very much miss those days.

Annis, it was honestly like watching Cardiff 20 years ago - but without the aggro.

It's a different sport to the Premier League though. Nobody strung more than a few passes together and Newport were very physical and strong. It was enjoyable in a different way and I admired their workrate.

For the guy asking about prices, cheapest is
17 quid on matchday for league games or 15 in advance. Best place is Hazell Terrace on side which
is a quid more than that.

I would go again. Programme cabin guy was v friendly too and I picked up an Arsenal v West Ham 1980 FA Cup final prog for 50p for my Arsenal supporting nephew!

mr moose wrote:What are the prices like for County games? The lack of fixtures for us this season means I would quite like to watch some football. Cardiff first and foremost but I love to check up and follow all the other welsh team...minus those down west.
Hartleypool on Friday isn't it? Could fancy popping down there fore that.

yes Hartlepool Friday night. If you pre-book your tickets on-line before the day of the match, the bisley and hazel stands tickets are £18. If you prefer to stand the hazel terrace is £16, and this is where, the majority of the matchday atmosphere is created.
Alternatively you could stand on the north terrace which is priced at £15, but this is un-covered, and obviously the terrace is a bit back from behind the goal, as its a rugby ground.
If you was just to turn up on Friday and buy a ticket at the bisley ticket office, add on £2 to the prices above.
I always book mine on-line, and im no computer geek(it really is simple to do, as long as you,ve got a credit/debit card) and pick up my tickets at the club shop just before K.O, and have never had any problem. Hope this helps.

I said I had heard they were bringing that many, it was on FB, my mistake for putting it out

The Away end at RP holds at most 800 so that would be the max anyone could bring

So how did, the worzels bring 1063 fans then?

580 in the segregated part of the bisley stand, and 500 in the temporary stand behind the goal(the syntner end)

Looked like a team of bouncers dealing with a stag party from Portsmouth!

Yeah, that's why he's got ''tank'' as his nickname. Not the most talented of players, but will run his socks off for the whole ninety minutes.
This league is the highest he'll play in IMO, and should we go up this year, I wouldn't expect him playing in league 1 for us

Liked your psycho full back too. Shame he got sent off but not surprising. He looked like Shelvey after a year on the roids. Pompey looked scared of half of your bouncer boys.

2841 mate with 619 pompey, which is reasonable for a mickey mouse cup. Yeah I just noticed the pompey thread has disappeared, how strange

I deleted it, as I was given shit info on FB

LOL :D :D Missed a cracking game tonight AA, good atmosphere, except for the clown with his bell(you know the one).
Didn't see any trouble in town today, but the OB were everywhere.

I def know the one.
Would love to have been there, but I dont think I would be welcomed
But well done to u and great atmospheres at those type of games.

A couple of mates I work with are County fans and some of them had a few pics taken with that guy that dresses up in all the pompey gear  Been trying to remember the name of their star player that played in the same Farnborough team as Joe Ralls.

I take it you was there last night, wasn't a bad game was it? And as for pipey, I don't know what came over him with that challenge. We was 2 nil up and pissing all over them and for him to come in with that flying two legged high tackle was plain stupidity, as the pompey player was only on his way towards the corner flag
Half our side have done time, ex-alcoholics or troublemakers, but having come here, JE has somehow transformed them, and last night we were missing 5 first team regulars due to injury, so I think we are are certain to be in the play-offs, if we don't go up automatically. Apparently david pipe served 32 months for hitting someone over the head with a wine bottle outside a nightclub in Bristol whilst playing for rovers, so he should be loving life in newport

Yep, I was there and having watched Pipe I'm not surprised he likes to mix it a bit off the pitch. The guyis built like one of the grunting roid heads at my gym and seems fearless. You might not win promotion but they are the hardest looking bastards on a football pitch Ive seen in my life!

 They may not be the most talented footballers in Britain but they all give 100% for JE, but you must have been impressed with jolley and Washington who are destined for better things. Also tom Naylor who is on-loan from derby is a class player, but the player who must have impressed you the most was one of your own and what a player you've got there. Can't recall him making one mistake last night, what a future prospect he is. :ayatollah:

Without a doubt bb, on their day they could beat a decent championship side a la brighton who played mostly their 1st team on the night after looking at their lineups since we beat them at the amex back in august. We're only 3 points off the play-offs and we've been missing 6 or 7 first on the teamsheet players for months, so when they're back, it'll be happy days.

With the likes of jolley who i'm sure malky will be looking at, and the return of O'Connor and Byron Anthony in the new year, i'm going to be disappointed at nothing less than automatic promotion TBH with you. At the start of the season anything above mid table I would have been happy with, but this team are going places, I just hope the messiah JE, stays put, but its not long before a big team in the championship comes in for him, and I couldn't slate him if he walks. Probably the best man manager since cloughie but i'm a little biased :)
Got to extend your players loan as well but as malky and Jed are mates i'm hoping there wont be a problem
