Creativity at this level either costs or requires excellent scouting/luck.
I agree 100% about pace its crucial at this level
You proved last week that you can string 5 passes together. I thought you passed the ball very well at times. Rogers and martinez had no plan b and they are now managing two of the biggest clubs in England.
I honestly think some on here looked at how we had fared the past two years and thought the pl was a piece of piss. But the reality is quite different. It's hard work with fine margins with even the weakest teams capable of being excellent on their day.
Yawn. My concerns about us have f**k all to do with how the Jacks have fared last 2 seasons. Its irrelevant to our cause.
17th will do me just fine but with our current philosophy of playing for a nil nil and hoping for set piece I am concerned. f**k all to do with finishing top half.
As for your comment about as shouldnt be getting results at teams like Villa thats a joke. They have been in a relegatipn dogfight for 2 years they are a young team in transition, were crippled with injuries yesterday
so are exactly the type of team we need to have a go at and try and pick up some points. Instead we set up like we were going o the Emirates or the Etihad ffs.By your philosophy why do the promoted teams bother spending any money cos if they shouldnt expect to have a go at teans based on former glories then we might as well take the money and go back down.

Have you ever contributed to a thread without missing the point?
My point is simple. Some of you lot expected to win at villa and then turn on your manager if you don't. Thats aston villa, not Rochdale. Maybe just maybe villa aren't a bad side. Maybe they like most sides in this league are more than capable of beating the top sides in the division let alone a side that hasn't played top flight football in over 50 years.

Whats the previous 50 years got to do with it

Its about there here and now. Weve earned our right to be here and after spending 35m then we should expect to at least create some chances and at least make their keeper work against a team in our "mini league" a team ravaged with injuries and a team who hadnt scored for nearly 500 minutes.

"Oh we cant expect to beat Villa they won the European Cup 32 years ago"

1) you haven't played top flight football for over 50 years
2) you are both a newly promoted and small premier league club
3) you have been run for decades by nut jobs
4) you shouldn't be getting results at the likes of villa
5) you have done extremely well this season
6) you have a very good manager
7) you have made some brilliant summer signings but still have many average championship players
8) you have the most fickle fans in football

For once I have to agree with our Jack friend, 17th position this year and I will be over the moon whether we secure before or on the last day of the season. Teams like Villa have been in this league for eons and have staff around them that know what they are doing.

Time to chill out a bit and stop being fickle, OK MM got it wrong yesterday but he did get it right and give us arguably our best result in years last Sunday :ayatollah:

Its sad on his behalf that he got to come on a rival forum stating his opinions about Cardiff!
