I like Malky as a fella but I couldnt give two fucks if he goes to Norwich as long as he takes his shit football with him.

Annis's would blame Tan if his milk goes missing off his doorstep in the morning

The foundations are being built. The last two games with Whittingham playing centre mid and Turner making sure he played on the floor to Medel or Whitts our shape is already looking better

It's not quite working for Odemwingie yet and we're seriously lacking creativity, but as you say it's all a learning process. Things could be far worse. We matched Villa up until Medel gave that needless free kick away. Quality strike that would have beaten any keeper

We move on

Come on guys, we lost away to a good team who was on a bad run in which they were due a win !.. Villa park is not a place to guarantee a win, especially when your a newly promoted team..... Give them a break, they did there best !

No ones saying we exoect 3 points but Villa are a team in our mini league and to go there so negative and create f**k all again is hard to swallow

True, we cant get that attacking defending balance right at the moment, couple more qualitys in jan and we should improve !

You only had to look at the starting midfield today and it was obvious nothing was going to be created. Leaving Mutch and Kim was was boarding in madness, extremely naive.

Campbell and Odemwingy are decent strikers but need service.

Bellars, Cowie, Gunnar out.
Noone, Kim, Mutch in.

Should have beat these today, they were crap worse than Newcastle, it's going to be a dogfight. :sad7:

Some of you lot really need to get a grip. It could've gone either way until the free kick. We're doing all right and will stay up.

You'll be whingeing if we don't beat Man Utd and Arsenal probably. It's our first season in the Prem FFS.

Villa have been shit this season, and weren't much better today. The first half had 0-0 all over it and once we were a goal down we had no hope.

Villa have been on a bad run for 18 months. They were close to relegation last season and haven't been much better this one. It's teams like Villa which we need to look for points.

Villa had have a poor record this season and have not scored for approx 470 mins, also they had a sickness bug, plus their camp was on a downer due to recent form and ours were on a high due to the win over the Jacks.

I still believe Campbell and Maynard are not the answer and Gestede is def not the answer, we need quality strikers, what did we do or create in front of their goal?

The first half was an even account, with nothing really between us.
Nil,Nil was a fair result.

Some fans will blame Marshal for the first goal, I think it was an unstoppable goal and would of taken a super save to save it, but that was only being able to see it once.

After that goal there was only one team going to win it, Villa, we had nothing in the engine then or the quality to change the game then.

Their keeper never had one save to make today

Our fans were superb, players and Malky applauded us at the end, Malky gave an extra wave, when we sang don't sack Malky, who I still believe will be sacked soon, sadly

Our fans sang loudly today 'We'll always be blue, We'll always be blue' and we were out in force in Blue

Just my opinion of today

Your opinions please :ayatollah:

Annis, even Villa supporters around me (I was a guest at Villa Park today) thought they were there for the taking up to and including half-time...

I am interested in your comments on how you still believe "Malky will be sacked soon" when CityGent says there are 'positive' vibes coming from the Boardroom (including January spending) and ask if you think "someone else" is being earmarked to spend the transfer money? :? :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

malky has a fear of taking a hammering. so sets up for 0-0 and hopes to pinch a goal. there is no thought of trying to create openings in open play.. just a dire hope of a free kick or corner.. like watching neil warnocks sheff utd..It might keep us up (just), but i think this team has more than that and could open teams up with mutch, kim and especially noone outside. At least noone would give a defence something to think about as he can beat a man and get a shot off. Our strikers are expected to chase fresh air at the moment, as no ball gets threaded through to them. Too much hit and hope to the lone striker who are not even the type of player who can hold a ball up for the midfield to join in..

Thinkni agree tbh, Malky has taken the hard working model managers have done on a budget and done it but with spending well.

Def a point dropped, can't keep coming away with sod all. But....he's been robbed of his forward through injury all season and our best player is still to be able to fully speak the lingo. We have a medel who will add another 15-20% when his English is good enough to enable his thought process to be instant in English.

I'm more than happy with malky in charge, as who do.you realistically replace him with?

I very rarely post on this forum but follow it everyday and ever since the first premier league game against West Ham there are too many negative views posted.
Honestly what did people expect, every match will be tough especially away from home, Palace who are bottom drew with Everton who have been playing great football.
We never played flowing entertaining football last season when we were top of the league for so long and ground out results by being hard to beat.In the Premier league with so many good teams that was going to be much harder to do as all teams have quality players who can score great goals like the free kick yesterday.
There are still 28 games to go and the key to staying up will be our home form against the sides around us, every side will have poor runs and good runs.
We need to keep the faith and support Malky Mackay.

Chris, exactly what Villa fans thoughts were to me, they expected to lose, they thought their team had been awful all season. I hope you enjoyed your day Chris, other than the result of course.

As to Malky being sacked soon, yes I honestly believe Tan will sack him and as to City Gent ask him again his thoughts on this.

Stats tell the story that backs up what you've said

Cardiff 56% Villa 44% We had 2 shots on target !

Let's judge when we get some of the weaker teams at home, Swansea are the weakest at home so far and we beat them.

Let's also not forget we are yet to play any of the bottom three, so six games still to play against the weakest team in the League, Swansea have picked up six of their points against the bottom 2, and have Stoke at home today.

It wasn't the best of games but Malky will sort them and we have a new £8 million Striker to come in too, plus players in January. :ayatollah:

It will be interesting to see how Cornelius impacts when he is match fit. Noone also looked good in the Millwall DVP game, creative, tricky and pacey. I'm also hearing stronger things about a certain Man U winger but only hearsay - if that happened then that would go some way to help for sure. Really need to be taking points from the teams like Villa but I'm confident that we'll be OK in the always tough first season PL blooding.

Many of us are waiting and keen to see how well he dos, it could be some time yet as he will need at least 5 games to see the best out of him.

Mutch and Campbell not starting was stupid. Campbell helped us v Swansea by attacking the defence more. Easily could of just defended the lead but we still went for a 2nd goal and Mutch came on and pushed forward more.
