I haven't posted or even been on for over a year but I was watching the Jacks game in the Hollybush Sunday and was quite impressed with the support in the pub for the City. Chatting to guys most are old regulars who can't afford season tickets so can no longer go. Replacing them are fans who have sprung up probably since the FA Cup final. Can I make it clear that I have nothing against them. We need them fans to progress as a club and become established in the Premiership, which is what we all wanted all those years in the bottom two leagues. That's why I am posting this question as I am honestly intrigued and hope this board has a good mix of fans who can start a debate.
The answer for myself is probably not. Not because of the Red or Vincent Tan as if I am honest I prefer his stewardship to the Riddler. Although lately has been shocking at least it's related to football and no longer HMRC related. I really felt started to feel distant from the club from the semi final and final of the FA Cup run year and I have never really got back. Us being back in the Premiership got me a bit of excitement back but that's probably cos it's new. It might be the new ground. Although Ninian Park could be quiet when it was rocking it really was rocking and being stood on the Grange End, Bob Bank or even Lower Grandstand is where all my best memories of football come from.

I think in some ways you might prefer that Annis. Am I right in saying that.
I went to oxford friendly last year and it felt nice to be around fans who knew all the songs and weren't there to watch oxford.

Interesting and very relevant post. I've had a season ticket for around 30 years or so most of those years I lived in London so was quite expensive to travel to home games. I know live "officially" in Copenhagen but work mostly abroad yet still buy a Season Ticket every year, get to see maybe one or two games a season at home and a few "aways". Will I buy a Season Ticket next season? I honestly don't know, will I still support Cardiff City Yes. Don't give a f**k what league we're in, there is no other club for me. I'm lucky enough to have a job where I travel a lot throughout Europe so do have the opportunity to see other football teams but it is not the same. No matter what the four or five idiots on MM's board say it is not the same. When Anis set this board up years ago I said what was/would happen to British and European football, it does appear I was correct for once, inside info though I admit. We have lost the Cardiff City that we all knew and loved even though she was a bitch at times, well most of the time but we moved on. I'll rephrase that, the club has moved on into the modern era but us uns old cannot and will not move on. Wembley, FA Cup Final, I sat in my designated seat (first time ever), looked around and cried, the famous Cardiff City hadn't been to Rome to see the Pope, Swansea went there for some begging probably, (do the romany gypos on their own patch) and the pontiff said "go forth and multiply". A sea of Blue, yet I'd guess 50 to 75% of our support that day were on their first or second game. One Club, one life.

Feck me 20 leagues down and even you could afford to buy the club and change the colour back to blue just in time for our derby with Ely rangers or Cardiff Corries.
