Another convincing win for county to take us up to 4th. League 1 here we come :malky:

Newport in league 1 sounds mad, imagine them in the championship  future is looking bright for welsh youngsters

Deji played the full 90 minutes again tonight, in a dire county win.
In fairness. he didn't really have a lot to do, but on the few occasions he was needed, he won everything again, and although he doesn't look taller enough for a CB, he's got one hell of a leap on him and won almost every hoofball that Braintree threw at him.
Not my m.o.m, but a sound display nevertheless

Don't exaggerate mozz, Braintree brought 14 die-hards  Although, we can hardly shout with only 1400 county fans turning up on the night
Mind you that was our third home game in a week, and its set me back £51 in pre-paid tickets, saving £6, and that's without the beer food and programmes. I'm off to Cheltenham Saturday and oxford a week Tuesday, which is again setting me back £52.50 for tickets, so after 2 weeks i''ll have spent in excess of £200 to watch league 2 football and a fa cup replay against a non-league club.
Costly game watching this football lark, i'm just glad my teenage lad prefers playing football than watching it, as £500 five weeks before xmas is a little bit too much
The least the county could have done tonight was to charge £10 for adults, like they reduced the price for the pompey game to £15, but I take it Braintree told them to 'feck off''

Another solid display by deji, who once again played the full 90mins. Solid in every tackle, good in the air, and his distribution when in possession of the ball is second to none in this league. No hoofball from this lad, however...

his one and only mistake almost cost us the game, as while trying to play a cross field ball to, I think it was the RB Jackson or maybe yakabu, the Cheltenham winger intercepted it and played in the well-travelled Jamie cureton, but luckily for us put it wide

not being biased but county were by far the better side and conor Washington who'll soon be playing in the championship or even higher the way the lad is progressing, hit the post with their goalie well beaten, and had a goal cleared off the line, which me and the other 963 county fans there, had thought crossed the line. have to have a look on the football league show after!

Back to deji, he's a cert to start at oxford Tuesday.

  Cost me nearer enough the same as you mozz, the only one to let me down :x

964 county fans in the ground today, but I heard the stewards refused entry to quite a few youngsters who were lashed up, and apparently the OB, had to calm things?

Another good point away from home in cold Oxfordshire last night but in hindsight, it was two points dropped against a poor top of the division side, with jolley hitting the cross-bar with 5 mins to go.
That's 5 games on the bounce now, that NCFC haven't conceded a goal, and in all of these 5 games deji played the whole 90 minutes.
Once again last night I can't recall him losing one 50/50 ball either in the air or a tackle on the floor. The experience he is gaining playing alongside ''the yak'' and harry Worley, is invaluable to him and CCFC, and its going to be hard for our Byron Anthony(our best defender last season) to get back in the side, and if JE can extend the lads loan, it'll certaintly not be him.

Roll on sunday, to another clean sheet and 3 POINTS against joint top of the league chesterfield in front of a bumper crowd (well for us anyway  )

Came on for crow in the last quarter, and looked tidy on the ball with some good hold up play, and the only half chance he had. he unfortunately rushed it and his shot went timidly wide of goal, so can't really comment on him yet, but hope he starts sunday against chesterfield in favour of danny crow ;)
Just realised that deji's loan spell ends after the home game sunday so lets hope malky and je can extend his loan with us till the end of the season.
Apparently, kev cooper was at oxford last night, keeping an eye on him,and deciding whether to extend his loan :?

Played Oxford who are top and got a clean sheet and a point from their ground, that is a positive result.

Newport seem to be thriving on being in League 2 and not only look like they will be avoiding going down but maybe get promotion if they stay in the top 7. :ayatollah:

Re: Adedeji Oshilaja

Well what can I say, but this lad is excellent. In the 90mins he had 2 bad miskicks and lost the ball in the air once to a French striker who looked 6 inches bigger than him.

You lot must think, this cewnty c**t, is on a wind-up here praising him every game, but just look on the NCFC site and see who the posters vote for their MOM, and if it's not deji I'll eat my arse  , and keep a look out for video of the game that''ll probably be on their tomorrow ,that can't lie!
Whoever that Kardiff scout was in sarf London, beating wall, palace and Charlton for his signature, deserves a nice back-hander, and CCFC want to make sure thev've got deji tied-up to a nice 5 year contract, before the vultures come scavangeing a la ramsey.

Last thing is I think he made those out of character mis-kicks today, due to the fact that the ''yak'' was out injured today?, and deji looks upto him for his experience and leadership as well as him being captain, so really deji could be described as the main man in our defence today, with the in-experienced, harry Worley and Andrew james playing alongside him :ayatollah:

Anyway back up to just outside the play-offs, and 3 points off top spot, and looking forward to my trip to kiddy next sat and getting a win and then drawing you at LEGOLAND in round3 :D , and then it's the big one at fratton park the week after when we could/should go top of the league in front of 1200-1500 kewnty fans

Worst game in a county kit since arriving on loan at RP today, but still the best pick of the bunch, playing alongside fellow youngsters, Andrew hughes and harry Worley.
What deji missed today, like he did against chesterfield last sunday, was the guidance and experience of Ishmail Yakabu playing alongside him, who surprisingly was missing today, obviously to a late injury??

All in all the best side had the game won by H/T, so now we can just concentrate on promotion, although i'll be gutted if we were to draw you or the JB's home or away tomorrow :(

Forgot to add, that he was substituted mid-way through the second half, as JE obviously didn't want to risk him getting sent off, after he picked up a yellow card when we were 4 nil down.
Probably start from the off against 'posh' Tuesday, unless je decides he deserves a rest, but has got to start at pompey Saturday, hopefully alongside the 'yak'

I seen the game, county looked awful, disorganised, tired, sloppy I kept thinking it was kidderminster but then realised you had your home kit away.

I would love no team more than county in the cup, even more than swansea

Not a lot to report bout deja but again did't to a lot long in what sounds a home thrashing.
He started again with the in-experienced, hughes and Worley, so its probably the same report for you, as the previous two games, we missed the 'yak' alongside deji with probably Worley ahead of hughes, who I don't think will make the cut in league football.
For any of you that was there at RP, the biggest applause of the night was when deji at the start of the second half won a cracking tackle and went on a 50 yard run which got the shite crowd jeered right up. Looking forward to pompey Saturday and county can just concentrate on the league now and with deji and the yak at the centre of defence, they've got a great chance of back to back promotions. Deji 6/10 sure to start saturday :thumbright:

You were 1-0 down until the 90th where they picked up 2 goals.. thing the scoreline is flattering for them.

Keep the reviews coming!

Good news for Deji tomorrow, and more importantly NCFC is the return from injury of Ishmail Yakubu. Although deji has played well in the absence of the club-captain and was again MOM in the 3-0 home defeat against Peterborough last Tuesday night, county have conceded 9 goals in their last 3 games without the 'yak' so his return tomorrow in place of hughes or Worley will please osh, who certaintly looks upto the 'yak' and is learning from him all the time.

Heres to a county win tomorrow, and a good piss up in Palmerstone rd southsea tonight and good luck against the baggies

Great weekender in pompey (southsea), with county up to 4th now and still missing our main men ;)

Another top performance by deji, who would have looked comfortable at any premier league ground yesterday he's that good. No more praise needed, bring on the wombles Saturday, and I'm not even concerned if the 'yak' is finally back Saturday, but I'd like to know where the f**k he was y.day? but wasn't needed anyway.
