I think the reasons many couldn't hear the Swansea fans were..

a. They were singing a lot pre-match, when they were all in and our stands were half-empty but the tannoy was at the loudest I can ever remember, blasting out just loud crap mostly  , so whatever they were singing was drowned out.

b. Once the gorund got full then our singing started and then when you are sat amongst it you won't hear anyone else (maybe why some of theirs said we didn't sing much as well ?)

c. They really didn't have much to sing about, when we quietened down after about 20 mins the game was awful with no real chances, I certainly thought they sang more than us for this spell, however from the kick-off for the 2nd half both our team and fans seemed to crank things up and the Swansea fans went quiet then, drowned out both by our fans (and even more so after we scored), but also losing faith as we took control and then the realisation that we were going to go on and win.

Think this a fair summary ! ;)

From the back of the canton i could 'see' the jacks were singing from the clapping/hands going up in unison etc but couldn't hear a thing. It was probably the same in reverse a d must be acoustics.
there are more people singing in the canton than used to in the grange end yet the intensity is completely different without the low rood and away fans.
hope it sounds good on the pitch.

I thought it was quieter than I expected, probably nerves.

I thought we were better for the Man City game, but that was our first Premier League fixture and was a much better game and bigger result.
