It was initially going to be called White Noise Media, Sven, but a company in the UK has already trademarked the words 'White Noise' unbelievably so if I used those words commercially they could pursue me. Nobody has trademarked Syntax or Syntax Design in the UK. As you said, Syntax Digital is the closet in the UK.

I wouldn't worry about an overseas company having a similar name. You'll always get online experts that don't actually know what they're talking about.

It's not trademarked in the UK, it's highly unlikely that you are going to be competing with them, and you aren't going to be guilty of 'passing off'.

Cheers Owain. Thanks for the advice and good luck message. I won't be advertising offering web design services on here as I know you're in the same game and that'd be disrespectful. I will do FIFA covers etc. free of charge of course though on request if people want them.
