Fingers crossed Steve. Some of the dicks on here actually think we're playing Brazil 1970 next week. Swansea are a decent side no doubt about it, but they're not great.

They're 11/8 with some bookies. The way some are talking about this inevitable hiding they should be at least 1/2

Easily caught on the break lakey, and i think thats exactly where you will catch em. They today didnt look like Brazil thats for sure

Yep, the pace in the Cardiff side will give them a real advantage on the break...... :laughing6:

He was happy with the settlement given that he put less than that in. The accrued interest and non payment fees/charges took the debts up. Have no sympathy when greedy individuals lose out. Always feel for small businesses when they go through having been shafted by a company using admin as a way of avoiding payment of debt.

And how do you know our creditors weren't happy? Can you name them for me?

It wasnt admin it was a cva where you ask your creditors of they will accept a lesser sum, like what you asked sam. Luckily for us both sam and our guys agreed. :thumbright:

If i owed you a grand and paid you 50 quid would you be happy? The local st johns ambulance and a local school were 2 of the many people that your club screwed. Colin Addison is another- a real footballing gent who was in football before the golden money era. Peter Nicholas was another good footballing bloke screwed over along with Hollins but he is a prick so gets no sympathy from me.

ST Johns had free advertising and use of facilities for holding courses to the value they were owed. All creditors agreed to the arrangement apart from players and sacked ex managers, so these local businesses that went bust were in fact a story made up in the eastern bloc

They really didn't look much at all. Your be fine.

You played 4-6-0 a system that is anti football but works and stifles out footballing teams like Swansea. The last 20 it was all Swans though and we were unlucky not to have got a pen.

As soon as Pablo Hernandez and Bony came on you had problems dealing with us. West Ham on that type of performance will be around the bottom 6 all season.

Neither could you away TWICE :ayatollah:

We are 9th - the same position we would still have been had we won. A good point to us but a useless one for the hoof ball hammers. The sooner Allardyce and his brand of backward football is relegated to the lower leagues the better.

The Premiership is regarded as the best in the world (not in my opinion as I think La Liga and the Bundersliga is better technically), to have turds like these playing for a draw, being negative and ruining games damages what the premiership is all about - being entertaining.

Re: Swansea Looked Poor Today

Mon Oct 28, 2013 1:35 pm

In fairness they could have had a decent lead by half time. Mostly taking advantage of our lack of height at corners and some poor finishing. They were the better side in the first half and was happy to go in level.

Second half was different and probably the other way around. Draw was a fair result but they were no great shakes, and we looked off the pace. Looked better when Bony and Hernandez came on though.

No one outside Tan and Sam knows how much the settlement was, so its pointless arguing about who has been ripped off, what we do know is, is that at one point Sam was more than happy to accept £10-15 million, no one was holding a gun to his head as he had a legal agreement that £24 million plus interest would be paid in 2016, so we can assume he is happy with any early settlement he received.
Your proxy little club on the other hand, gave the local businesses no choice, Accept 20p in the pound or we go to the wall and you get nothing! Badly run club, with no assets then. Luckily for you, the borough council have ridden to your rescue, which is endemic of how things run down West. A city that is run on hand outs, no wonder you wave Union Jacks, if it weren't for the English and especially London tax payers, you would all be fecked! Enjoy it while you can, because as soon as times on the pitch get bad, which history tells us they will, then your club will again implode. Mogs will be on his bike after stripping what he can and no one else has a pot to piss in  No outside investor would be interested, as you have nothing of value to offer anyone, apart from a lovely coastline

For a club that needed a foreign investor to save the club from numerous winding up orders a mater of 3 years ago, you aint half a bit vocal on this subject  Tan paid your debts on your behalf because you couldnt, yet knowing you couldnt oay them continued to borrow more anyway... Not to mention the land the council gave you to build the stadium you so love.

I don't have this bizarre notion that we are light years ahead. Technically we are superior as a football team to you, but as I've said many a time to friends a derby is unpredictable. We could get 64% possession and 31 shots yet you could score from a corner - game over. I'd take a point for sure next week as it would benefit us more than you.

As for bottom 6 teams we can't beat - well we've done Palace away and hammered Sunderland at home.  thick_as_pigshit

I prefer Big SAMs view he knows a bit more than most,
Hi Steve,

Sunday’s 0-0 draw at Swansea was another magnificent clean sheet, another snuffing out of the opposition and classic counter-attacking football in the first half. Movement of the ball, passing and movement of the players was brilliant, we cut Swansea open time after time.

We were disappointed in the dressing room afterwards as the lads knew that we should have been celebrating a little more than we were.

It was great to see Carlton Cole come on and give us a bit more of an attacking thrust. He’s had a good header near the end that the goalkeeper’s made a good save from.

Hopefully we can keep up this magnificent defensive record but we need to score more to start getting three points on the board instead of one. Five games and one goal conceded off a very dubious penalty at Hull City is a magnificent away record to build on and our main concern now is to make sure when we play at home that we don’t lose any more matches.
......

And that's how I saw the game too. Swansea biggest problem is they think they are special when they ain't, very easy to work out.

Im sure most West Ham fans would love to have such problems that cause us to sit in the top half, top our european group on the back of a 9th place finish and a major trophy win. :laughing6:

Aye we are not very good are we? Top of our Euro group and 9th in the Premier league. We are not special but at least I can say I am proud of my team and the way they play. It's a brave style to try and play in this league, the easy option would be to park the bus or play without a striker. For that we get the respect of the teams we play.

Big Sam plays that system as he knows that the squad he has, are not good enough to play football against teams who can pass the ball. That's what he did yesterday. It won't win you anything, it won't get you in the top half but it will keep you up.

Maybe.

Not really, wouldn't be any point, I admire the way Swansea have risen from the Ashes and achieved what they have achieved footballing wise. It's a Marathon and not a sprint Premiership survival especially Clubs without the massive fundings. So why argue a point there's no argument about ? I will leave that to you

So what hooked you then ? So you realise what you said was a little odd then. We have every right to think we are good after everything we have and continue to achieve. You played to destroy rather than create and came away with a draw well done. As a result the spectacle was poor and both sides looked a little crap.

Not at all we simply played to win, points make prizes. I didn't think you were very good and you weren't yesterday . I thought the same as our manager we cut you open easily especially in the first half and should have nicked the game, I think Cardiff will cut you open next week and put the ball in the net the only thing we lacked yesterday. Now if you listen to " your lot " you talk as your some super team to which your not and your very easy to contain away from home.
