If you've seen Fer's interview on Sky Sports yesterday, you'd realise that he needed no encouragement!

If there is a serious injury the ref will stop it.

I absolutely agree with this comment :ayatollah:

Far too many players these days actively 'looking' to stop the game every time they lose the ball or break a boot lace!

I thpught they brought a directive in the game should only be stopped if a head injury?
The refs in their defence cant win they are being conned most of the time.

Its not just foreign players either last Sunday Kyle Walker went down holding his face after a challenge with Agbolahor and he was holding his teeth, physio checking them.etc and the replay should he wasnt touched in the face!!! Held game up for 2/3 mibs and Agbonlahor booked.

Agree with you on this one. My point was only that players often look to stop the game (by feigning injury) when they have messed up and are in danger of giving the opposition an advantage

Walker was bang out of order last week and referees are being conned. Ultimately, no-one can blame them for erring on the side of caution as player welfare must come first

With players dieing / almost dieing on the pitch the ref cant take the risk. Hes in a no win situation sadly.

Imagine the ref thought Mulumbu was play acting. Could have been difference between life and death.

Ultimately the responsibility is with the players but listening to cheating bastards like Frt openly admitting to cheatimg as he "wanted to win" then I dont expect them to start taking it any time soon.

Not according to somebody on here, who thinks that the referee ought to be a qualified doctor, who is able to diagnose broken legs, broken arms and even possibly broken legs from a distance, before he even contemplates stopping a game for an injury!

Clearly hasn't seen or read the Bert Trautmann story! :D

Can't see your point about him slating his own team mate(s), as it was you who said he was egged on by Wolfswinkel! :?

I merely said that he needed no encouragement!

It's annoyed me that none of the media have mentioned that Marshall kicked it out for one of Norwich's players!

If one of ours had gone down and we'd put it out I'd have more sympathy for Fer's position as we're all sick and tired of teams feigning injury to run down the clock but if it's got to the point where teams feign injury so they can have a free shot at goal then gamesmanship has clearly gone too far.
