In the Danish League? Id have thought a striker commanding nearly an 8 figure sum would have stood out and scored more than he did. As I said at the time, the Danes were saying he was not premier league standard on planetswans and they watched many of his matches.

He has done nothing to prove their suggestions otherwise. Until that time i will go with the information i have at hand.

Does Michael Laudrup post on Planet Swans then?

Yet you dont know who these other Danes are yet still make a judgement, and presumably have not spoken to Laudrup before yet still make a judgement.... And the irony flows.

Laudrup will have been fully aware of Cornelius, being Danish, managing in that keague and having many connections. Yet all the time we needed a targetman type lone striker, never once did he bid. Instead opting to pay £12m for Bony. Silly boy, he could have got the great A-corn for £4m less.

As ive stated, all the info i have points to him not being very good. He will have to change my mind wont he.

It's achieving good results. We've had only 4 games against opposition outside the top 8 and 3 of those were away from home, yet we picked up 4 points from them and 4 from top 8 teams. We haven't played one team at home in the bottom half of the table yet.

Roath Magic you absolute fcking clown. Why don't you actually go and watch a game of football (outside EPL) and then try forming an opinion yourself rather than taking it from the papers/media.

With £35 million you could have some real potent attacking players and not have to resort to such negative tactics. With that kind of warchest players like Don Cowie and Rudy Gestede shouldnt be anywhere near the team let alone playing at Stamford Bridge.

Hes spent too much money on players that stiffle rather than create. Without getting into it again as my thread (battle of defensive midfielders soeaks for itself), Medel for £11m is crazy. Defensive players are cheaper because its easier to destroy than create. The money could have been spent so much more wisely. You could have got in someone who can do his job just as well for a couple of million and bought some out and out wingers and a striker for that cash. Not to mention the curious case of Andreas Cornelius.

You had a need for 10 quality players. Tan stumped up enough cash and he blows pretty much all of it on 3 players. Two defensive ones and a striker that looks pretty gash.

Id be fuming if I was Tan.

Got to agree with this. What happened to we need 11 michus as tan said? Besides medel, Malky did not even look at the Spanish market where players are cheap and have quality, instead be wasted 9 mil on cornelius, 1.5 on cornelius. That money could of been better spent on a few quality Spanish players

Cornelius is a 19 year old kid who made a huge impact for the biggest club in Denmark, Not only has he scored 18 goals in his first season he has already broken into the Danish national squad and scored against Petr Cech in a international game, Hardly 'gash' if you ask me. He's barley played for us due to a ankle injury so how you can make a judgement on him now is ridiculous. Malky was even saying how delighted he was to bringing him here and how a 'top' European club was also after him.

Of course he said that, hes not going to say "i just wasted £8.5m on a donkey" is he.

If you think hes good then great, we will soon see. Ill stick with the info i have.

Newcastle weren't in top half when we played them and so f*cking what if they were.

There's no rule to say newly promoted teams can't have a go at teams in top half of the table? Especially at home and especially a newly promoted club who just spent 35m!!!

The likes of City and Spurs fair enough but not Newcastle FFS.

it was thanks to Malkys negative bollocks paying Newcastle too much respect 1st half that found ourselves 2 goals down and could have been 6 but for Marshall and poor finishing.

2nd half we had a go and put them under some pressure but too little too late because we can't give teams 2 goals head start in this league.

This after a great performance at Fulham and Newcastle being woeful at Everton you'd have thought he would have gone for their throat from the off, especially as they are a team who've won just 3 of 23 away games this last 14 months.

Instead we set up as if we were playing Barcelona and made Newcastle look like them too.

Well, well, well so Roathie won't listen to pundits, peers and sports writers raving about Medel choosing instead to look at stats and only stats to form his judgment.

Yet when it comes to Corny, who has impressive stats, he chooses to ignore stats and form his opinion based on some "information" received from some phantom Danish posters who just so happen to post on Planet Swans :laughing5:

You couldn't make it up :laughing5:

Oh wait a minute I'm just receiving some "information" he did just make it up

ive seen Medel for myself. Ive no need to listen to anyone else. I rate my opinion over most of the buffoons that sky employ. His passing is inconsistent (60% accuracy last game) and completes less passes than both Britton and Canas, he makes less tackles, less interceptions amd creates less chances.... So why is he better? Oh yeah plays for Chile, thatll help you

i dont think they are that impressive though do I? Marc Lloyd Williams had the european golden boot didnt he with like 60 goals or something? Doesnt mean hes worthy of a premier league team as its a poor league. 18 goals in the danish league is not worthy of £8.5m. Michu got 15 in la liga and cost £2m.

You couldn't make it up :laughing5:

Oh wait a minute I'm just receiving some "information" he did just make it up

what am i supposed to have made up? Ive never seen him play so cannot use personal experience. What i do have however is the word of other people plus his record. Ive heard nobody wothout a vested interest say hes any good let alone worth. £8.5m

How convenient

You are the same as Barnett. When i make a point you agree with then im a good poster, when i make one you disagree with i must be looking for bites and am trolling. The sooner you realise people can disagree with you the better your forum experience will be.

Cornelius has done nothing to suggest hes worth that wedge. Sorry but thats the fact. He may well do, but the reports aren't good even from cardiff based journalists calling him "to be kind..... raw".

You may well like to listen to the opinion of Chris Kamara and Paul Merson employed for their inability to do simple football related tasks properly for the sake of cheap comedy - however i will and always have made my own mind up where possible. apart from one game (fulham) Medel has been nothing but average at best and his last performance was shockingly bad and rightly subbed.

If you cant deal with facts then thats fine however i dont subscribe to the notion "he must be good because hes got some caps" "he must be good coz Kammy said so" and i dont subscribe to the opinion that "he must be good coz he cost us £11m"

If hes good then the performances will speak for themselves. So far, they havent.

Just maybe it's malky testing the water in premier with a style of play to get points where he can, to be honest it's far too early to say we will be relegated playing the tactics we are at the moment! As second half season could see a more expansive game against the poorer clubs! Or are we saying malky is crap manager and cannot change style of play?

If you want to hide yourself away from my opinions then put me on ignore, nobody is making you read. The funny thing is everyone to a man agreed with what im saying.

The cornelius thing is subjective and was a very small part of what I was saying, this was picked up by chuckles and has snowballed. You think hes good, ive heard hes not. We will wait and see.

Now if you cant take sensible opinion then eother go to another forum or show some self restraint and put me on ignore. If you refuse to do them, then stop bitching. Simple.

I don't think he's good enough and I agree with you when you say you don't have to see a player to know that. Say what you want about Rudy I think he's a good player and valuable off the bench.

So you complain about my post, then agree with it.

The fact is you are lacking any sort of fire power and had £35m at your disposal to rectify this and spent it all on an unproven kid who has very mixed reviews to be kind, a defensive midfield player that isnt pulling up any trees regardless of the propaganda on here and a centre back. 3 players. Then had to rummage through the bargain bin for Odemwingie.

Its woeful money management as far as im concerned, and id be well pissed off if I was Tan which is why I think Moodie got the chop.
