So you're saying its unacceptable for BU to lie, but Tan is allowed to?

I'm not denying BU have changed their stance. Initially it seemed their intention was to get our identity back while trying to work with Tan to at least reach a compromise. But as we all know, Tan doesn't care about anyone and won't listen to anyone, so it's hardly surprising BU now want Tan out. The only chance we have of getting our identity (and to some, our club) back is if Tan leaves after all.

when has tan lied to us ????? tg and whitely have ,tan has kept to every promise he has made most of them people dont agree with but hes still kept his word ,if we excepted the rebrand he would invest ,money for players ,training ground ,stadium expansion, paying off langstone, pmg, taxman ,monies owed to stadium contractors and debt to equity ,the latter hes already putting in place by buying up the shares and wiping the loan interest off ,the one thing tan isnt is a lier ,he migtht be a loony ,misguided on football matters but not a lier

Oh dear god! If you're honestly saying Tan isn't a liar, then it's pointless debating with you. I never realised the blue and yellow kits came out last month!

Who instructed TG to make the announcement about us staying blue when the news of our rebrand first broke out? Surely TG wouldn't have been allowed to publish his statement without Tan's approval? Do you honestly think just because Tan hasn't directly said something, it means it isn't his idea? TG, Whitely and dare I say, Malky today (possibly) could have told lies on Tan's behalf. I personally don't believe that Malky wasn't asked to resign anyway and I think Malky has agreed to state he was never asked to resign to keep his relationship with Tan alive so he will be backed in the January window, although that is my own personal opinion.

I suppose Malky lied about us being under budget in this mornings apology speech because Tan has stated we're 15 million over our budget and "Tan never lies?" This is despite the Independent stating it's Simon Lim's name on all the contracts of the signings we have made this summer, not Malky's or Moody's names? Don't know where the Independent got that info from, but assuming this is true, why would Tan blame Malky and Moody for this "overspending" when firstly, Simon Lim had the final say with the deals (he must have if his name is on the players contracts of every new signing this summer) and secondly, Malky has stated we are under budget? Nothing is adding up here!

Obviously that's why I said I don't know where the Independent got that info, because it could be rubbish. But I think it's very rash to assume Tan is being truthful and everyone else is lying when there's so many differing things said on the same issue. Malky's agent said he would eventually reveal why Malky is no longer working with Moody, but has since backtracked on revealing this. It seems lots was discussed at this 5 hour board meeting and it's been agreed certain things that have happened will be kept secret. Malky clearly looked agitated today and really had to choose his words carefully, it was as if he was trying not to slip up disclosing certain info. I felt sorry for how disillusioned he looked, not the best preparation for tomorrows game to say the least.

Of course we were. We were losing £1 million per month and nobody was willing to take us over. Apart from Tan. So if we had said no to Tan then would have stepped in and saved the day? Nobody!

I dont want Tan out. I think the truth is the past 2 weeks nobody really knows what has happened. From what Malky says and Tan says everything seems to be fine again and sorted. You can listen to rumours on the forums or choose to listen to what Malky and Tan say directly.

I want Tan to stay. Apart from the rebrand he has been brilliant not only for this football club but for the City and for the local charities.

Well said, but it's a "glass half empty/glass half full" situation with some, fella ;)

A few are so focussed on the red/blue issue (and it certainly is an issue ;) ) that they cannot see (or amybe don't want to see) the good that has gone on elsewhere

It's a shame, because this club (as stated elsewhere) was close to folding until they (TG/Tan) came in and he has (so far as I can see) delivered on the vast majority of his promises (good and/or bad) ;)

I don't like some what has happened (red/blue at the top of my personal list) but I am a little more pragmatic in my approach to it all and choose to stay positive about my club and its future under Tan and/or anyone else that comes in. After all, it's not really in his/their interest to fail, is it? ;) :ayatollah:

I wouldn't be so sure of that last statement when he has just employed a 23 year old Kazakhstani who knows absolutely nothing about football because he is a friend of his son. It's getting like a Malaysian Welsh FA with Tan's "jobs for the boys" approach.

Gordon Bennett!

When are you going to learn that (like anything else he does) there is a reason Tan has promoted the Khazak and it has nothing to do with his 'talent-spotting' skills and more to do with who his father is ;)

And let me ask you a (genuine) question: If YOU were in business and shovelled c.£140m (estimated) into a potentially bottomless pit, would YOU not prefer to have people YOU felt comfortable with looking after YOUR interests? :?:

I know I would ;) :ayatollah:

I disagree with the majority of your posts anyway, but for you to actually support Tan's decision of appointing this 23 year old Kazakhstani just because his fathers a multi millionaire is incredible. I wonder what would happen next if everyone had your attitude. Bill Gates' son replacing Malky as manager?

You disagree with most posters who have an opinion that doesn't put down the huge advances this club has made, fella

How on earth am I supporting Tan's decision to appoint the boy? :?

I said that I could understand it, given that he is 'courting' the boy's mega-rich father and that ANYONE would want their own people around them if they had invested that amount of money (which even you cannot deny Tan has) and is how the 'British System' has worked for centuries ;)

Get your facts right. You're negativity is affecting your reasoning

Yeh all those High court case and judgments against us were all made up.  [/quote

No they weren't . But tan had too much invested to f**k off when he forced through the rebrand . Straight question - given 18 months worth of hindsight , what do you think tans reasons were for the rebrand ?

Different point and not related to the above post , but the amount of people still defending tan over the events of the past few weeks makes me embarrassed to be a city fan. Malky is still clearly fuming about the matter

If Tan sells us, he would want to sell us on for a profit and he certainly won't sell our club on the cheap, so I think whoever buys our club from Tan in the future will have a fair bit of financial clout behind him. He won't be able to afford to buy us in the first place otherwise surely?
