why do you need to know?

I'd like to know why the club i support has decided to replace a well respected & good member of its senior staff, with a complete unknown who is totally unsuited to the role.

because they dont need him they have resuffled the board and his job is no longer needed malky and the chairman are sorting transfers out

Wow what a shit statement. Totally ignoring what people want to know again. No mention of moody or why Tan hired Borat. Fair play the way our club is run is a laughing stock. at least Malky's still here probably the only person that can currently limit tan by standing up to him when he makes more ridiculous dissions.

Re: ' OFFICIAL CARDIFF CITY STATEMENT RELEASED '

Tan writes off interest on HIS debt that he would have to pay back to himself in any case....I'm reading that right?

Supporters beg for a statement and they get one but still complain even when it states it backs Malky will get full support. Can't win. Most of our supporters are choosing to believe the media and papers over the club, mugs.

Also I'm not writing Cornelius off right now but Moody saw him THREE times in action, to judge a player on three performances and spend 7.5m is quite silly

Not really, the money would have come from the club accounts I.e. PL TV money.

2. Tan Sri Vincent Tan has agreed to write off Debts of approximately £140.4 million into equity on previous loans, made to the Club and stated that all future loans up to an aggregate value of £50 million will be interest free.

That's what you need to Do Tan. Until then, I do not Trust you, :angry4:

No idea about the detail (although surely for tax and other reasons much of his investment to date will be have been through loans)but I think simplistically yes - but that is good for the Club's books and that is what counts for now.

The club will require loans to see it through the period before receiving PL money. The club does not turn a profit yet so will rely on loans for the next season or two at least.

I believe the debt to equity wont happen until he owns a significant proportion of the shares. If he does it now the value ofnthe club will significantly increase and those other shares that he wants to purchase will increase in value, costing him more £££ to secure complete control.

I thought that Tan already has 98% of the club shares

He actually holds less than 50% of the shares at this this present moment I believe but deals are agreed in principle to buy several of the other shareholders out.

Mr Tan effectively owns a football club. He sees it as a business/investment opportunity. He employs people to do the day to day business running. If he doesn't like what happens with his business (i.e. if he thinks someone has fucked up the budgets or is not achieving his targets)he changes things. He invests money and expects a return.
That's essentially how it is.
Many of us will have had experience of working in businesses with similar requirements.

Very little reaction to two key elements of the statement.

1. "In a scheduled Board meeting" - in which case why did Lim schedule a holiday at the same time, somewhat odd for a CEO

2. "An Audit Committee, chaired by Michael Filiou. Its main responsibility will be:
· to review and make recommendations to strengthen the internal financial controls within the Club and benchmark the Club’s financials." - interesting that Sam/Langston's nominee is chairing this.

I don't dispute any of that... Don't understand it's relevance to my point though.

My point stands, VT may be a successful businessman, but he's clueless about how to run a football club correctly.

What a load of twaddle. What businessman alienates his manager by sacking an experienced key member of staff with a proven track record and then replaces him with someone with absolutely no experience.

Bury my head in the sand and kiss his arse? I'm not going to lose sleep over some man who was scouting players losing his job. People come and go in the club even if there is no explanation but in football you get over it.
