In my opinion this is a weak statement intended only to calm the waters which let's face it have been extremely choppy for the good ship Vincent Tan since he decided to cut the legs from beneath MM by sacking his trusted Head Of Player Recruitment.

Make no mistake about it Iain Moody has been sacked, he is not on gardening leave and he has not been suspended pending any investigation into misconduct. This weakly worded load of bollocks leaves more questions unanswered than answered and the biggest question of all is how is MM feeling about all of this.

To include reference to this Borat character as an "Interim" replacement for Iain Moody is laughable because anyone with an ounce of sense would realise that both MM & IM would have already identified possible signings in January, and dossiers on those target would already be in place. If Borat is gathering data on players then who identified those targets :? MM & IM be in no doubt about that.

I would be happier if the statement said the club would now be going through an extensive selection process to recruit a new Head Of Player Recruitment, but no we have Borat as an Interim. You just couldn't make it up.

Many have expressed concerns about the lack of an experienced "Football Man" at the club since VT took over and this whole sorry episode highlights the risks when you have a meglomaniac in charge.

If VT really wants to support MM then he should do so by leaving our fantastic manager and his dedicated backroom team alone to continue the fantastic work.

Sadly VT won't and I really fear that events this week will eventually result in MM leaving the club. To many that will be a disaster but to VT it will be a chance to promote Borat to Manager, and that's the real danger here the man will do absolutely anything on a whim.

A very poor statement from the club. Cannot even get the spelling right. If I was given a penny for every statement I have read like that I would be a millionaire by now.

So this "replacement" is there to collect data. Then why say he has replaced Moody? Do these guys running the show realise what a joke they have made of us. Then again do they care?

Ian, as you know I am not a doom and gloom merchant where Tan is concerned (only time will tell the level of his success) but I have to agree with your statement above. It is a poor statement (aimed at appeasing rather than solving) and leaves questions still unanswered :ayatollah:

Too late for me. Sorry but its a load of shit now and we've become a circus act.

Tan backing Malky....yeah right. Until it suits him. Then he will face the chop.

We were blue until it suited Tan and then the rebrand crap came out of the blue.

Why won't he sack Malky out of the blue?

At the end of the day the bloke and his entourage (Lim and co. those who do as they're told by Tan) can't be trusted now and they're the ones responsible for breaking that trust.

Many fans, good hearted, true bluebirds, lifelong bluebirds, who stood alongside their dad's on the terraces of Ninian, accepted the sacrifice of a rebrand so Tan could feel a part of Cardiff, put his bit of a stamp on it and have a sense of belonging. We accepted that and yes the investment come too but we could have kicked off if we really wanted. Tan was allowed that and we got on with things the majority.

This is unforgivable sorry. The sooner he and his friends are gone the better.

Some suckers in here would believe what's in the papers 100percent, so a club statement which is of course 100 percent true will work wonders for some :laughing5:

I am incredibly sad about this whole affair, I adopted Cardiff as my home team when I settled here with my lovely Welsh wife several years ago. I got the fascination with this great club, after one game I was hooked. Love the people, love the match day, love the 'underdog' tag, love the away days. Now when I started supporting City they were Blue, and this Maniac was not in charge at the time. For me he has made a complete mess of it all. The man is a clown I just hope the club comes out of it all in one piece. Another chapter in the history of this club, hope it all goes well, and we emerge stronger BLUEBIRDS

Gary, that is a fantastic post and sums up my feelings and take on it after reading the statement.

The manager should be left alone to manage.

I wholly agree with you that I believe Malky Mackay will not be around for much longer and that saddens me.

Tan has done good for the club but when he makes a howler he makes them big but I was hoping there would be a massive turnaround and the club statement puts an end to that hope.

I believe Malky's position is untenable and quite frankly am surprised we have got to Friday evening with him still in the job.

Vincent Tan may have been totally correct in sacking Moody, though I don't believe he is right, but bringing in Borat is showing contempt towards the club, its supporters and its shareholders, though there won't be too many of them left soon.

Papering over a big crack with tissue paper, not really worth putting it out there in my opinion and hasn't changed me perception of the situation.

Malky holds the key, unless Tan can get Malky back on board and talking the talk, then it's only a matter of time.

If and I think it's heading that way, VT's position without Malky's backing is untenable, hopeful he will sell us to a more switched on owner who knows the game, but if not, at least knows how to handle people.

At least we are in a position that will attract investors as a going conecrn, no one will buy us to close us, not at the figures we are now talking.

Hi lads
Swans fan here in peace, we're all football fans and have our banter but sorry to hear of your problems as it's the fans that suffer in the end,we went through a similar thing with Laudrup,(will he or wont he go)in your case I feel there's some underlying facts that yet has come to light, hope the matter gets resolved in the fans favour, genuinely hope you stay up as it adds a lot to both our seasons. Good Luck.
