Agree with you Jonny that the fans if asked should sit in the ninian but i guarantee you if the ground was all standing the atmosphere would double.
fans can shout and support while sitting but they'll make more noise while standing.

its an all seater stadium, the club had tried their best to get a section where standing is allowed, if people want to stand then thats where they should go.

So only the canton can stand? Surly it would be better to have two blocks in the Ninian that can stand too. :malky:

The most ideal situation would be swapping the canton with the family stand, but we all know the club wont do that. :(

If the two blocks on the end stand then all the other blocks have to, it works sideways as well as directly in front of you, if someone to the side of you stands, you can't see, so you stand and the person by your side has to stand.

I find it funny how they ban the season ticket holders who the club have already received money off but magically dont want to ban those who buy tickets on a game by game basis.I mean you could simply refuse to sell them a ticket for the next 5 home games surely ?
But if people do get banned it would be interesting to see whether there seat becomes available for the next 5 games.

Vince is at pains to convince us it's a safety issue that must be adhered to, yet Wayne Nash States that it's more about customer care! It's clearly not a safety issue, otherwise there would be standing allowed nowhere within the ground. So if it's customer care then why not consult the customers in 116, 117, and 118 and get to the bottom of it and really find out what supporters want. If the majority want to stand then surely it's not beyond the club to find out how many and accommodate them in one area from the back down, so not obscuring anyone's view. Surely everyone would then be happy.

It is a safety issue the camber on the Ninian stand is slightly steeper than the canton there is a report doing the rounds that explains it in far better detail then me why its a safety issue! Don't shoot the messenger. :D :D :D

For the Swansea game I say everyone stands and see what the wishy washy bastards at the club do. However I urge members on here not have a go at stewards and get aggressive with them. At the end of the day they are part time, minimum wage workers who are just following orders, they do not set club policy and will be sacked if they don't comply with it.

Instead direct your anger at those that do set the rules.

would like to see the stewards acting with a bit of lenience during the times in which the game is exciting or the fans feel the need to get behind the team.sometimes standing is the only option for football fans that are full of passion.as much as i hate to say it the jacks are an example of creating an atmosphere for large chunks of the game by standing, shouting and singing.dont see stewards charging in in a panic stricken state for fear of over excitement at the liberty.would love to see the whole ground standing for next game sure would be an empty stadium for next five games :o :o :ayatollah:
