Night folks. All change again in the battle to finish higher. Well done, good result.

One more game to get through and we finally have a decent run of winnable games which i will very much welcome, we have had 4 big guns in our opening 6. :D

Stats are similar to filing financial accounts or reporting. You can dress them up anyway you want. They can give you a clue but not the truth. Especially in football. What a great fooking day. 2 - 1 Bluebirds and the PL opening its Kimono to the Original Sheep Shaggers. About time too. Ding-Fucking-Dong.

2 out of 6 surely? We have had Arsenal, Man Utd, Tottenham and Liverpool and won the other two.

Everton are not champions league contenders, nowhere close.

The irony is, the stats are in your favour regarding thos game. So i have no idea why people are using this game as an example.

I would not consider Man U as a top team at this moment in time. They are only a fraction of the team under Fergy.

Same can be said for Liverpool. Everyone though after their win against Man U it was their season. Well Man U are their for the taking at the moment.

Re: The stats from Craven Cottage have been compiled

Man Utd are definately a top side. They just have a new manager and are getting used to a slightly new approach. We are 6 games in, people do tend to go a little overboard.

They are still very much champions league contenders. Their team is worth hundreds of millions. liverpool are also a top side and very much in the mix for a champions league place.

Everton finished higher than Liverpool for the last 2 seasons and have made some good signings. Yet you've decided Liverpool are a big gun and everton aren't

Yep, i will happily do a bet with you that Liverpool will finish higher than Everton. Liverpool have a rich recent history of trophy wins and top european competition - Everton dont and have just sold their best player.,

Interested?

Roathie, you're being made to look an absolute fool again :laughing6:

Everton are the only unbeaten side in the premier league. Your argument logic is cringeworthy. You don't care how many different people think you're an idiot do you? There are many that do

Bet 365 odds for teams to finish in the top 4. This is what i consider the top 6 sides in the league, the big guns. Ive added Everton for reference. Can make a lot of cash if you genuinelly believe what you are saying and not just picking an agument with "roathie".

Man City 1/8
Chelsea 1/6
Arsenal 2/5
Man Utd 2/5
Tottenham 10/11
Liverpool 6/4
.........................
Everton 12/1

They may well do but this is about where Everton will finish. They have been top 6 or 7 for the last few seasons which for me makes them a "big gun". Liverpool started well but have already showed the inconsistency that has seen them well off CL places for the last 3 or 4 seasons.

Debatable about felaini being their best player, Man U fans wouldn't agree. They've recruited Barry, McCarthy and perhaps more significantly lukaku. I think that's great business and overall they will be a better team for it.

Only time will tell but write them off by all means.

Being 6th or 7th doesnt make you a big gun.

Everton are not in the same mini "champions league top 4 league" as Liverpool, Man United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Man City and Chelsea. Everton are a good side, but not a big gun. Not even close.

Everton are never expected to make the top 4 where as the expectations of the others are almost always "top 4"

I understand the fashionable trend to argue with Roathie, but this one is just silly.

So you just decide Liverpool are better than Everton and to say they aren't necessarily so is "just silly", even though Everton have finished higher the last 2 seasons. Errr, ok

Of course its silly, if anyone else had said it you wouldnt have tried to make an argument against it - its common sense. It was only a few short months ago that there was talk on this board of Everton being a sideward step for Malky

Everton are not a big gun. Their average league finish since year 2000/01 is 9th (8.75), liverpool average is 4th (4.5). Want me to go nto recent trophy wins and european forays?

Swansea and wigan won cups last season. Are they a big guns  ? My thoughts are based on recent league finishes and what their team is today, not how they did with a completely different team 12 or 13 years ago!

Your entitled to your opinion, but I'm glad we've got Everton out of the way and held them to a deserved point. IMO that's 4 points we've taken from 2 of the big guns. Lets see how it all unfolds
